Akira Ishida as a bad guy=pretty cool

Random comedic moments sure are random at times...

Nuramago dvd vol.1 is out and the cover design has been finalised. Not much difference, just a little texture in the bg and color inversion for the title:

Not only that, slightly higher res of vol.1 (older ver) and 2, as well as what comes with the packaging and as a bonus, the full image of Night Rikuo used for the dvd:

dvd vol.3:

Also, more info on the first chara cd:

(I like how Night Rikuo is in the title like that.)
Rikuo's song is "TRUE BLOOD" by Fukuyama Jun and Zen's is "Yakusoku (約束)" by Sugita Tomokazu. Comes with two drama tracks and song instrumentals.

I must say this is the first time I've actually bothered consistently announcing stuff like this for a series I like lol. Thread's not active enough but I guess there really isn't much to talk about.

Character CD has the best cover so far, and that's a shame because i don't usually listen to character CD's.

Episode 12 was great. Seeing Grandpa fight was pretty cool, interesting technique, the rivalry between Kana and Yuki-Ohna, is heating up literally, i'm loving it.

Grandpa underestimated Yura in this episode! Yura.... well, strange that she can't sense he's a youkai (or the little youkai in the bag) when she has so much strength. Now I'm really anticipating the episode when "you know what" happens.

Other than that, not too happy about the recap episode next week.

^ She had said that high-level yokai can hide their presence. As for natto, maybe she was distracted by the Muchi team?

Not really that surprising considering the nature of Nurarihyon, the manga makes it clearer that he can mask his presence from basically everyone, thus the reason we see him wandering around town all the time.

Question, is there a reason why Kubinashi was referred to as a 'sinful' man ? Both in the preview and in Ep12... Is there something we should know ?

I forgot that episode 13 was going to be a recap episode.

Still, there are a few minor things about the episode, I'd like to mention.
Spoiler for ep 13:

Over all, I'm glad I saw the episode even though it was a recap.

^Good to hear that the recap is watchable. I was just going to skip it if it was just going to be a plain old recap, though i'll watch it out of interest.

I skipped the recap myself (well, that as hulu is being a meanie to me today) but I'm glad to hear that it sounds like some thought was given to it and it wasn't simply a clip show.

Episode 13

I don't get the point of this episode...it just seems like a waste of time, filler episode. It doesn't present any new information, it just basically sums up episodes 5-9. It's kind of annoying for them to put this episode in the middle of a different and unrelated part of the story. I mean, this was already resolved, and unless you're telling it from a different side or presenting new information, why does it need to be rehashed? Oh well...gotta wait one more week for the next episode *sigh*...

Ah, I was skeptical when I read their blog which said it wasn't just any old recap and the director put more effort into it but I guess I'll go watch it now.

EDIT: Not bad, not bad. Lots of new music used for a recap, which I found surprising. I agree with LKK about the new eyecatch, hope they keep it. So much better than morphing letters and fluttering sakura branches. On an amusing note, the Harry Potter-ish jingle never got played even once in the recap . But really, if they were going to recap they may as well have animated the first chapter as a flashback episode.

It's a bit pointless doing that now, because it's already been set in the anime story that it's not needed.

I meant that if they were planning to do a recap episode from the start then they may as well have animated the first chapter and included it as part of the anime storyline from the beginning. Of course, the recap could have always been a later decision.

Vol 1's first week was..

*9. *4,121 *4,121 Nurarihyon no Mago vol.1

This is only on dvd right? No Bluray release? Sold decently enough.. probably hit 5k but later volumes will go downwards.. probably avg 4k when it's all said and done.. which is pretty decent for a DEEN show.. still no guarantee of a sequel.. look @ Fruits Basket which was one of the best selling DEEN titles..

Kana and Yuki-onna reaction to each other in the anime is quite different than the manga but i found it hella funny
