Pretty well, but 2008 was the mysterious Hiiragi twins year where the finals were rather underwhelming compared to all the previous big spotlight matches. I vaguely seem to recall Konata being a block finalist level but didn't get too far beyond that - she may have been in top 8 at one point.

But once again, series mojo is more important than any individual attribute. There are plenty more "One of us" female otaku characters out there, both present and past (e.g. Genshiken's entries). Very few got this far.

This is week is the most important out of the months the tournament lasts. the future still has so many possible paths, and in merely 8 days, there will be only a trail of blood, tears and destruction.

This was a great introduction for the madness we're undergoing.

Well, I'm having an unpredicted busy week, I missed Mio's victory and Nagi's victory. Mio's victory makes me feel happy in despair, G final is going to kill me. Nagi's victory makes everything alright since I was going to support her. And yes, poor adorable little Yuno, see you someday ;_;

Certainly true, but individual attributes mean nothing if you have no mojo to speak of. After the mojo requisite is met, then it's down to individual attributes.

Not bad, except for one detail, I'll get to what it is in a bit. But, I have one bit of advice for future vids, cut it down. 5+ mins is a looong ass time for a trailer. Ideally, you should keep it somewhere around the 2-3 minute mark. The problem with your vid ties into this, as it is much too slow.

Poor Yuno got toally crushed. Nagi surprisingly doesn't have any problems taking down Nadeko. I guess Nadeko's vote total last round really was too good to be true and she was just being used to kill Yui. Nagi is the first character to make Round 4. Let's see how much further she can go.


Today's match:

Shana vs Takamachi Nanoha vs Saginomiya Isumi

As is going to be the case in many of these matches, one of the three characters are going to get left behind in the dust. This time it's Saginomiya Isumi who is not going to be able to keep up with the other two. Isumi easily won her first two matches, but they were against relatively weak competition. Way back in preliminaries, she was a fair bit behind Amae Koromo. Isumi just hasn't shown she has the ability to compete with Nanoha and Shana. Nanoha had a fairly easily Round 1 win followed by a tough match with Ikeda Kana in Round 2. Kana is pretty strong but even accounting for that, she got closer to Nanoha than I expected. This was a while ago but Shana has arguable the best preliminary performance of all the characters. She ended up beating Hirasawa Yui by quite a bit. Shana did come back down to earth in Round 1 and had a little trouble with beating Nakamura Yuri. Shana had a fairly easy Round 2 and easilt dispatched her opponents. In the end I feel like Shana's performance was the best of the three. Nanoha is defintely going to give her a hard time but Shana will win in the end.
