It would appear to be official because there's a model kit with the shield. I don't remember the shield ever appearing in EW though.

Betcha its not gonna have the features the Original has (& if it gets upgrades that mean fullout mecha statue wars), plus the paint job makes it it looks like a TGM if you ask me
