no man, It's definitely head, looks like tauburn, and uses a starsword. Samekh is huge, his hand is holding ayingott; probably the big guy near end of op, that tauburn is flying to.

Also, be very careful when watching the ED. If you're eating/drinking, you might choke when seeing the new Vanishing Age chicks for the first time. WTF is w/ those outfits.

Also, the shadows over the characters in the ED are suspicious. If I were to randomly guess, the shadow over Sugata looks like Head, only because of the strange hairstyle.

Overall, I like the old ED better, but the new OP better.

New speculation about the twins...

There are now serious clues in both the new OP and the episode itself, to suggest that Marino is a magical construct that should not have existed. Marino turned to dust and vanishes in the OP, while in this new episode Marino wasn't able to find her self present in her sister's childhood memories. Further more, the next episode synopsis suggest that their mum has came back, but Marino has disappeared.

Finally, I submit my own opinion on this matter: The mysterious "Manticore" name Marino called herself.
Manticores were mythologically Persian, but they were adopted in the West into the Chimera mythos. And Chimeras have an interesting meaning genetically.

I thought OP would be the same with Takuto running, but it turned out to be much more awesome.
It's strange they reused a scene from previous ED, also gay Takuto-Sugata moment at 0:42-0:50 made me chuckle.

Nevertheless, both songs are very catchy.

Seems appropriate that Reshbal would be similar in style to Tauburn. Sort of fits the potential Head/Takuto dynamic. And I think that the fight between those two is going to be a good one. Maybe that's the fight for the end of this arc, episode 16.

I get who the shadow over Sugata is, but who are the other shadows?

Big dude near the end is definitely Samekh. The enroaching red sky makes me think of the Departure occurring (Zero Time disappearing as it isn't needed anymore). There's something about the design though. Like those things that seem to be on it's back and such.

I rather like how both the opening and ending reinforce the trio as well as Takuto and Sugata's friendship.

I wonder if there is something to the way the ending has Sugata facing Keito while Takuto faces Head.

I like the new OP and ED. Nice fanservice and a good amount of spoilers in them. Head's Cybody can shoot stars out of its palms, how fabulous is that? I wonder if he can fart rainbows as well. The humongous Cybody at the end is definitely Samekh. He's truly in a class of his own.

I can only agree with Vallen's speculation. The flashbacks are enough confirmation for me. Mizuno most likely created Marino to alleviate her loneliness using her first phase. I'll be sad to see Marino go, she's a very fun character.

Glad that Keito's identity was finally confirmed. Of course, Head knew she was the final maiden all along. The other members apparently have no clue, though.

Now that Sugata has found out Head can move in zero time and is thus likely part of the Crux, it'll be interesting to see what he's going to do. Somehow, I don't think he's simply going to stop meeting him.

Very interesting episode. Much more so than I was expecting in any case.

I'll give another agreeance with Vallen's theory. It fits quite well in many cases and what Marino saw only improves the theory. But would that possibly mean that Marino is perhaps a manifestation of Mizuno's First Phase? I don't recall it ever being mentioned that the maiden's had First Phases though.

Ayingott really was quite disturbing. And I didn't really think there was anything behind it being crushed by Samekh, but after Kanako and Sugata's comments it would seem there is. The Cybody is one that greatly helps the Crux in finding maidens and thus putting the seals in danger so maybe Samekh or Sugata or a past Driver destroyed that one to protect the maidens? It fits to a degree with Mizuno's story as well.

It also seems that both Wako and Sugata knew what it was when they saw it though only Sugata seemed surprised at that. He was quite keen to make sure that it couldn't come back again as well and had a nice save on his part with the King's Pillar.

I have to say I like how everyone, even Head, seemed a bit scared when it went berserk.

The conversation with Head this week was interesting as always. I'm not sure, but there could be something to that comment regarding God. There's probably subtext to him asking to paint Sugata, but I don't know what that would be.

How exactly did Head do that? He went from sitting there painting and then manages to disappear and show up in his Crux uniform. I'm glad that Sugata seemed quite disturbed by Head disappearing and am curious to see what he does from here. I'd imagine he plans to keep visiting to perhaps learn more and figure out what happened.

Yet Reshbal also looks quite similar to Tauburn so what would that make it? Another Knight? Perhaps all the Warrior Cybodies are Knights? Reshbal might be Mordred who want to be King himself? Hmm, it does all fit a bit nicely.

I wasn't entirely serious about the King Arthur parallel. It's just something that sprung into my mind when thinking about Tauburn's role and the dynamics between the three main character.

Did anyone else notice Tauburn's design is different in the new OP?

I made the same theory a while ago on the thread when it was revealed the same birthdays. I like the dynamic it brings: being a knight means Takuto is destined to protect the king and queen. But what happens if the King goes rogue or if he falls in love with the Queen?

Even so, it does fit to some degree though the path Sugata takes from here will show if the parallel goes further. Of course, didn't Arthur not really want to fight Lancelot and vice versa? It's been a long time since I really looked at several of those myths.

Ha, you're right! Nice catch there. It looks a bit more...streamlined. I'm thinking this is what happens when we go into the Fourth Phase. I wouldn't expect anything to happen with Takuto for the Third Phase though maybe it will.

Sugata thus far hasn't seemed to really mind what's going on with Wako and Takuto, though of course that could change if it gets more serious. I'd be a bit disappointed if jealousy was a motivation for him if he does turn. On the other hand, maybe he could be convinced they're abandoning him?

The opening and ending really do reinforce both the trio and the whole bromance going on between Takuto and Sugata so it would seem odd to have him turn. Samekh seems to be a big goal for Head and the Crux coming up, so Sugata going to become involved in some way.

She's been much more subtle about it than some of the other girls, though in general she seems quite reserved. But man does she have some evil grins when she's in Crux mode.

Decent episode. Return of Head was the best part about it, along with the two parts that will effect the series from now on: Sugata noticing that Head disappears during zero time and Mizuno's maiden secret. Looks like the focus will be on her next with, with some added drama. Looking forward to that.

Pleased about Sakana being in the new OP, because that means there's a chance we'll see her again. Plus it looks like Tauburn's mid-season upgrade will be happening soon.
