Hmm, hadn't thought of it that way. I'd been assuming for some time that Samekh in some way represented the Squid Emperor, but this actually fits rather well. That story probably has so many answers to it.

wow episode 14 was very good. I love the new OP. The ED was ok but I prefer the old one. The blue Tauburn looks pretty good and its probably Heads. If the 2nd half of the series is like what the OP is suggesting then I'm excited for it. Glad the transforming sequence was cut off. I hope Marino and Mizuno would have a good ending to their arc even though Mizuno's seal will be broken. Also Mizuno should have her hair down more often.

Well everyone can pretty much predict whats going to happen to Mizuno and Marino now. I mean it's only a matter of time now before everything falls apart for I little maiden.

However I am more interested in Keito and her motivations for doing what she's doing.

Mizuno can't get any more charming and cute when she was riding on Takuto's back. Everytime I see her it's like seeing a child discovering her first crush/love which is quite innocent. Well, sisters do share some taste as both of them love Takuto. Lucky guy -- he got Wako, Ms. "don't mind the glass", Simone, and the twins. Not to mention almost every girl in his school and he's still doesn't have a girlfriend?

This story doesn't even make sense to me. I mean what story is all about anyway? Will they gonna have another plot hole soon?

There will be more betrayal & more emotional turn soon like Mai HiME did?

The connection was actually made since episode one because of the giant 日 symbol floating in the sky in zero time with the other maiden symbols. Of course Keito didn't even appear in episode one, but there were pictures of her wearing the 日 symbol on her mask.

Well, just realized it on this episode.
Since episode 8, i dont even know the name of Mizuno...

Btw, strangely how Keito didn't realize that Mizuno is the West Maiden, since all maiden gathers at the bus at eps 8...

It wasn't a bad episode. It raises more questions surrounding the twins, especially Marino. Also, Vallant's speculation is genius and probably true.

Spoiler for episode 14 thoughts: Agreeing with the general consensus that Ayingott was creepy, hope that one doesn't pop up again. And pretty much everything else that I was thinking of has been said. Vallen's theory is amazing although I get the feeling the real reveal won't be that cool. I was thinking about how Head vanished but it looked like he was frozen in zero time when Sugata vanished and he did show up a little later. It was shown in the first episode that people with marks go into zero time a little bit faster than people with masks and we've seen several times that the trio all enter it at the same time (meaning that everyone with a mark enters at the exact same time, no delays). I'm wondering now if Head doesn't have a mark after all (I suppose he could keep his mask with him and that's how he got into zero time, although how he changed clothes is still a mystery). And even more confirmation that Keito is the East maiden and she doesn't seem to care who does know, I'm guessing after the west seal is broken they'll break the east seal pretty quickly too. And one last thing I noticed in the episode, the subbers translated the whiteboard in the drama club meeting and I thought it was interesting that the lead boy is called "mark" (who Takuto plays) and the young man character (who has to be Sugata unless one of the girls cross-dresses) is called "column," a sneaky reference to the king's pillar I suppose. __________________ If it has a plot I have something to say about it! Have to agree it's very likely that Marino was a creation by her sister to avoid loneliness. Someone to look after and take care of her. Do wonder what will happen and if she will vanish entirely. Definitely Ayingott was a creepy unit. That thing was pretty hard if not impossible to control. Even Takuto was struggling to go up against something like that. If it hadn't been for Sugata's backup then things might have ended differently. Seems like we're getting set up for a big episode. WIth her identity exposed Mizuno is going to be in serious danger. Will be the first grab and attempt to break a seal since Wako in the first episode. __________________ Anime-Evo

Wako, Mizuno, and the 4th one with long black hair. And when she talks about it in the Kiraboshi Squad, she seems to realize something. Basicly i say that Keito is the 4th Maidden, East Maiden.
