Originally, After story was released only subbed. As for the reason they would wait until now rather than have it released shortly after the first season (a guess).....

(1) Wait and see how well the first season does before dubbing after story
or
(2) See if they could first find a dub for Ushio before deciding if they should go ahead and dub After Story.

don't think that will be a problem. It was backordered for weeks before i got it because of high demand

I just finished watching it dubbed a couple days ago its good. I so can't wait until April to buy the second season although I won't be looking forward to Sentai's abysmal packaging who thought it was a good idea to stack the DVDs on top of one another without dividers?? Cause to get to disk 3 you have to take out the first two disks to even get to it. Sorry for going offtopic there, but that seriously is annoying. Other than that good dub and I can't wait to see who voices Ushio.

looks like it is april 19th for AS according to best buy and march 15th for the movie.

i wonder how long until the anime network starts playing the dub. they did it about 2-3 months before the dvd release of the first season.

There is only one factor that will be the basis for whether I decide to buy or not:

Ushio - EP 18

Spoiler for EP 18:

They better not mess this scene up. I thought the dubbing of season 1 was very good so I have high expectations for this scene.

I'd keep it reasonably low though. It would have been INCREDIBLY hard to find someone to voice Ushio properly, but if they have, then it's splendid. But more likely they couldn't, and had to settle for something lesser.

well... this is gonna be interesting:

Ushio Okazaki - Luci Christian

looks like everyone has retained their role which is good because i hate when they suddenly change a voice actor

Luci Christian as Ushio eh? Well she did voice Nagisa as well in the English dub, so I think she would be ok as Ushio.

She was the voice actor for Mitsukuni Haninozuka aka "Honey" from Ouran High School Host Club, also played Truth in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. So she likes to play the roles of characters who have the appearance of little children. But the fact they were boys gives me a strange thought.

Yeah I'm excited, but I sure hope the english VAs are better than the first season, not that they're bad or anything but the japanese voices sounded better for some parts of it.

Seeing as how they're same VAs as last time, you'd think they'd be able to improve on their work from the first series (which I thought was really good - I even bought the Hybrid boxset (and have it set to English)).

I'm really glad that they've kept the same VAs - I've gotten so used to hearing them all the way they are in the original, it wouldn't be the same if they were different in After Story.

Looking forward to bawling all over again from some of the most poignant and emotionally draining scenes I've ever seen in an anime.

Quite frankly, these scenes prove that animes are more than just children's tV shows.

If you want to see what she will sound like as Ushio, check out the movie. The english dub is out.
