Seeing how I completely missed her on my first playthrough, is returning the relic a way to stop the fighting without killing the Arishok? I love the Qunari, so anything that helps them the most is an option worth taking.

If you want to stop the fighting you have to hand over the relic AND Isabela. Do it for the lulz, her reaction is great

How do you guys use isabela effectively in nightmare? (or, how do DW rogues work?)
As soon as she gets aggro on anything she gets raped from continuous knockdowns.
If you have a 2h warrior in the group (even as a tank) she will likely die from friendly fire off mighty blow/reaper/whirlwind.
I find having a rogue behind a target is almost detrimental to the fight since I cannot use any AoE which causes friendly fire.

Nightmare is a fake difficulty just to give bioware some laughs at the people tryin to beat it.

I beat the game once on nightmare already... hard is just too laughable with no friendly fire... Tempest ticks every 2s and has a chance to "stun" weaker mobs, add a well placed walking bomb on an elite mob, combo it and everything dies =S.

There are parts of nightmare which I really hated (ie: assassins 1 shot non-warriors and is immune to magic while stealth + 2hander friendly fire), but I wish mobs can be more... resilient so fights last longer than 10s.

Some people are ridiculous crazy about combat...

My reflexes just aren't that good.

Edit: I like Merrill way more than Isabela. I didn't mind Isabela very much in DAO, except that she was annoying--but her design change in DA2 is just lolworthy. And her breasts are so ridiculously huge, I think Varric might be exaggerating again...

But mostly I want to stab her repeatedly in the head because of how she fucked me (and not in the good sort of way) in Act II.

I'm struck by the fact that the only one of Hawke's companions who is completely 100% sane and not psychologically damaged in some way... is Aveline. (Bethany would also count, if I didn't lose access to her for most of the game--or all of it, depending on dialogue and the Deep Roads expedition...)

I'm playing an Elemental Mage with Specialisations in Creation and Spirit Healer. Quite like my build so far, but probably could be better. XD

Can anybody felicitate me with a good build/spells for a blood mage? It's so fucking annoying that every piece of mage eqp is tied to willpower, I died a lot in my first playthrough. Arh, frustrating.

That said, I am handing her over to the Arishok on my new playthrough - even though I plan to bed her at the first opportunity, yet again (that scene was just too funny) - I'm doing everything "bad" this time around.

Can anyone tell me when you starting the game at the part where you chose the ending on DA1 will it affect the DA2 story line, quests or chars? I think there was 3 options besides the one to load a save from DA1.
