Indeed there is a 26th episode of the Maze Bakunetsu Jiku television series. I, and I think many anime fans, never knew it existed. The episode, which I watched last night, basically outdoes Excel Saga episode 26 by having the same principle, but doing it years before Excel Saga. The episode is filled with nudity and sex jokes! I did a bit of research and discovered that this "lost" 26th episode was released in Japan on VHS only as a bonus premium only given to consumers that bought the entire 25 episode Maze TV series home video release.

A fast check reveals that the US DVD release of Maze has 26 episodes, so the not-so-lost-after-all OVA seems to be included.

I saw 26 in a HK release a long time ago and it is authentic.

The Maze TV dvd set I have from Software-sculptors (Bought in 2000) only has 25 episodes.

Dug out my dusty HK and there's the ep. :P

I think they took it out is the nude scenes. I think PG-13 rating goes to NC-17 if they include this ep.
