Could you provide a source for your claim that succubi always pass on all of their traits when reproducing? It's been bugging me for a while now as I don't remember getting that impression while watching the anime or reading the manga. In fact, looking back over chapter 1 of the manga I found almost the exact opposite. A succubus can mate successfully with any species, but rather than always producing succubus children, a child who inherits full succubus traits is merely a "possibility".
I would very grateful if you could provide a source, as this would be a huge departure from the manga that I did not pick up on.

Unless succubi in this setting are able to turn on and off when the get pregnant manually you can't really blame her.
We are not talking about the Queen. We were talking about real society, and whether those practices are common and accepted or not.

Can't say I'm surprised there making the Queen look sympathetic compared to her manga version, since the anime is taking a more heart warming route. Otherwise the viewers would have gotten the same reaction as manga readers about her type of character, who doesn't really have her priorities straight. The Queen comes out as far more likeable here than her manga version.

On random non-plot note; I am just wondering if anyone else finds the way Rotte says Yes/Yeah/Sure[sounds like Umoo or something] to be rather cute .

There is a bit too much manga talking/hinting/comparing in this thread. Posts have been deleted for that reason, now and in the past.

This is an anime only thread, therefore manga talking is a no-no. Exception would be if it's about events that the anime has already covered. But if it's about something that yet to happen or yet to be explained, then no. Refrain and simply discuss what the anime has actually shown, speculations are fine when not supported by manga wisdom.

The anime is different from the manga? This is not the place where to complain about it. The manga thread would be more suitable, since you aren't going to spoil anyone there anyway.

Thank you.

Eh, I thought it looks quite the same on how it went down. Well, aside from Merci's reason for going there, I thought it wasn't bad. Okay I'm digging the queen's hot body, what can I say but really, I like it because Merci didn't know that Rotte had a male in her harem, so questions are going to fly about why Naoya's even there.

And like if the queen can fly, why dont she just fly over to the event and what ever time she wants to visit her daughter? seems to me like it doesnt take much time when she flies.
I kinda laughed when I read this, because it's a good question but my answer isn't going to be so smart, so just try to laugh too XD

I think she doesn't do it often because she has to strip and wear the Succubus outfit just to fly. No really, it's not my perversion speaking here, but in Queen mode her wings and tail aren't visible, though I do wish she kept the ponytail while in succubus mode so... hmm, I wonder when Rotte will show her wings

I hope Asuha isnt really Naoya's daughter. Not because of the age but that would make my sucubus a sad loli.

I know, my head wasn't on straight yesterday lol, but I was trying to point out that humans are quite a mystery in Yggvar, perhaps their uniqueness even has the power to change the offspring of that world

Let's speculatingly say Merci did something while on Earth, perhaps the location of her antics affects which type of offspring she'll have. I do believe though that interactions with a human is enough of a stir. Maybe according to royal Yggvar law a heir to the throne has to be born of their land, and not bring in an immigrant who knows, if you ask me, I find it all very interesting and hoping that the anime will cover this, maybe even Asuha's leaf pin might be special enough to cause a stir like Keena's Dove pin in Dai Maou.

I wonder if that is why Asuha ended up in the human realm instead of being brought up with Lotte?

It is how they feed... Also biologically we humans are designed to be promiscuous hence the shape of our.. err male bits, but for some reason we decided not to. Some scientists even think we had spiny bits

My thoughts on status of Naoya

Naoya and the queen....

She doesn't need another husband, she has 1k already. She doesn't have time for her daughter never mind another man in her life to take up even more of it.

She doesn't need another servant, she has enough of the buggers already most with the best wishes of the country as top priority. I'm hoping there are some that worry about her well being too! Naoya vs the scheming scummy politicians? I don't think he is suited in that way....

Naoya and Lotte

I don't think she needs him in her harem... what she needs to do is heal and get over her hatred of men so she can feed later on in life. That is where I think that Naoya and Asuha are doing a great job so far. They are both tag teaming Lotte's insecurities and helping her to grow and blossom as a err succubus!

The real question is will they tell her about Asuha and Naoya's relationship with the queen? I think they should as nothing worse then to find out later! Also when she does find out how will she deal with it? If the queen starts visiting will she think it is just for Naoya and Asuha's sake?

I really wish that she went to see Lotte (and accidentally woke her) before following her nose!

What is the age of the queen? currently? I just don't remember her age so how can she be 19 when she met Naoya?

I'm assuming she ONLY keeps/raises her own species meaning succubus.

If someone in her harem or whoever she mates with produces an offspring of THEIR race and is not a succubus, then she gives that baby to the dad to raise and she has nothing to do with it.

now lets not get into morals and crap. this story is based on a succubus. nothing more needs to be said on whether that is heartless or not.

That was one hell of a plot twist. Who would have thought that that meek boy Naoya had impregnated the Queen out of all beings. My opinion of him has changed; he's got the balls XD

Or convenience plot hole But Rotte is fine with only the tail. The wings will just get in the way of *pedobear says hello*

While he is the blood father of Asuha isnt clear yet (even in the manga if I am not wrong), he is sure has the balls for raising a child from such a young age. Just imaging all the stigma and gossip of the neighbors , especially in Asia (just my observation, dont flame me, I am Asian too ). But he is sure having more than just balls. Manga readers will know what I mean (hope this isnt considered manga spoiler *look behind back, safe... )

I've been casually following this series, and man does this series back up the "Don't judge a book by its cover" philosiphy. Who would have thought that a summary like that could lead to a cute comedy with slight family drama and PG pantyshots? Episodes 3 &4 sold me. This series really took me off guard. I'll be following this.

I'm going to go with the simple answer that it is just too far. The Castle and the Estate Lotte is staying at are not very close by as stated in Ep 2 Lotte is living on the outskirts of the kingdom. While the Queen could fly a few miles from the coach that was near the school no problem the castle is likely 20 or more miles away

I apoligize for late reply.

1. My own point of view is that fantasy is where we get a chance to cross our boundaries. This is not reality, it is fantasy, and if we do not recognize and enjoy our fantasies, they will sneak up behind us and control us unconsciously. Similar to Jung's concept of the "shadow."
I'm 100% sure i DO NOT want to fantasize or see such in any kind of fantasy setting about underage intercourse.
Naoya DID have sex in his age. That bothers me. Lotte sleeping with him just NOT going to happen. That is the only thing that prevents me from enjoying the series. Which is clearly about family. I'm glad they toned down some mature material, like the reason for Lotte's hatred towards men.

OT: Okama has his name from playing female characters in games. Sorry I repeated what was answered before.

1. Your initial remarks make sense, and I will definitely ponder them. But I would like to point out that you are the one using capital letters and conjuring up images of "underage intercourse." The whole point of my theory is that by rigidly rejecting natural feelings, not accepting them in our conscious minds, we give those feelings unconscious power over us they would not otherwise have. I may be right and I may be wrong, but that's how I see it.

There are good statistical studies indicating that allowing more pornography may reduce the rate of sex crimes. I'm not sure of that, but it at least is possible. Passion is a poor guide to policy, in any case.

2. We do not know yet if Naoya consciously had sex. Perhaps it was just a nocturnal emission in a dream. We may know tomorrow.
