My friend VN or not he looks like he is freaking 50 years old, he looked slightly younger once he took off that horrid lab coat but beyond that, haorrieable.

I think it's more like most people have become so used to bishōnen in anime, that when a character is drawn to look like a regular man, he ends up looking older. But, either way, the anime does make him look a bit older.

Take this pic for example:

But well, I wouldn't be surprised if they simply say he's 18, in order to attract more fans, since most fans don't seem to like characters who are past their teens or early twenties.

Huh. Odd. I sort of always thought that Okabe looked rather young. I wouldn't say eighteen, but I assumed from the look of him that he was at least in his early twenties.

Feyris brags that it was she who brought moe culture to Akihabara.

What if she only had free reign to do this because her father had disappeared in the original timeline? I think Feyris's butterfly is the easiest to track as we have three main effects for the cause of one text, namely...

• Feyris's father is present
• No moe culture in Akihabara
• IBN never made it to trap shrine

It's easy to see how the first and second interact, but harder to see how the third is in any way meaningful, however if we add a fourth to it...

• Okarin is now being stalked/under surveilence/being threatened.

I theorize that the logic chain is something like

IBN never made it to trap shrine -> Feyris's father is present -> No moe culture -> Okarin being stalked.

I think Feyris's text was to do with the IBN, and the disposal of it saved her father's life, and that's the reason she didn't tell Okarin about her text.

It's not just the web site that mentions Okarin's age. His age can be deduced from episode 1 of the anime. In episode 1, Okarin says that Daru has known him for 3 1/2 years. Daru adds that they met as 2nd years in high school. We can calculate Okarin's and Daru's approximate ages from those statements. Later on in another episode, they talk about a college class that they're taking together. IIRC, they say that the day's class was cancelled.

All we see in episode 1 is Kurisu lying in a pool of blood, and Okarin automatically assumes that she's dead; when he tries to text Daru to tell him what happened, he causes the world line to change. That's all we've got on Kurisu's death so far.

Probably just a picture to get Okarin scared. I mean, it was jelly. Bananas or other things going through time travel turn into jelly. I doubt the jelly itself was anything significant.
