They did a good job with episode 12. The tranquil scenes such as the blushing reactions between Okarin and Kurisu, the little party they had for completing the time leap machine were fairly much enough to make you forget about the "death flag" dream at the beginning.
Really liked the use of sound during the build up towards SERN's attack. They could have left the part where Okarin tries to pull a heroic act to save Mayuri in though... It couldn't have taken that much extra screen time. And yeah, I was gutted too when I saw Mayuri die =( I wonder if they'll change the OP half way through the series? I still find myself watching the OP because it's so catchy ^^; That's a good one, lol... They even rendered it like Huke. Didn't think people would draw comparisons with Mahou Shoujo but I suppose there's time travel involved with Homura too.

I don't like "shining finger" anymore.......can you guess why
I wonder what the main motivation was for Sern to appear. Do they simply want the tech and people who created it or is it more a matter of preventing disclosure of the time travel technology. |

Theory!
That's one of those timeline where Moeka is a member of SERN... and she actually came from the timeline where the IBN 5100 went MIA...

I've just finished watching this anime from episode 1 to 12 in just one day (never thought I was going to do that. I actually thought that 5-6 episodes were enough for this day, but then I got hooked...badly )
Why tuturu....why...? ;_;

A little game comparison:
Those SERN mercenaries looked like they came right out of a B action movie in the VN. Quote:

Maybe the trains stopped because SERN was travelling into this timeline? Causing Zero Time?

This was actually my only complaint on the episode. I just couldn't take them seriously when they barged in, they look like a random group of local thieves rather than a special force from a huge organization. I didn't even for a second consider them as a threat, until of course, Moeka came in with that villainous better than you aura. If I were Okabe, once I enter another reality the first thing I'll do is choke the life out of Moeka. It might not stop SERN from coming after me but It'll sure calm my nerves. (on a second thought, it'll even make things worse so screw that)

I think something's wrong with me. I saw Moeka in that black leather outfit and found her insanely attractive.
That aside, the best episode by far. The Okabe/Kurisu interaction is always a joy to watch, and it was great to see even more focus on Mayuri and how she's really the glue that holds the whole lab together. I was quite amused at how Suzuha and Kurisu preferred swallowing their rivalry to making her upset, it shows the effect she has on the people around her. It was also interesting; might have been me, but I get the impression Moeka really didn't want to kill Mayuri at all. She sounded like she was convincing herself to do it before she finally pulled the trigger. Maybe there will be some redemption for her yet.
