I was posting something similar on OM. If Yuki has a direct comparison with a much more gentle Utsumi (not to mention it shouldn't hurt that much as the first time) at the same place this could, in a very crazy way, work out and help curing her trauma.

Which is not to say this isn't an extremely risky proposition (in so many ways) that Utsumi is probably going to misunderstand in an obvious way but I still see slight theoretical chances of success.

For me, I don't like the way she said it. Something like "I want you to do here what Tooru did to me." Not only will that have Utsumi comparing his first time with Tooru, but it's almost like she's asking him to guilt her into sex and then tape it. Obviously she's not, but the translation definitely doesn't make it sound good.

All in all, it's a dumb move. You can't really replace a memory this way, only cover it up. I made an analogy on another site to trying to cover up a bad smell with air freshener. All it does is bury the smell and mix it in with the freshener... and it eventually fades and the smell comes back..so you end up using more and more until you're in a cloud that possibly smells worse than before... And the original smell will keep coming back until the original source is taken care of.

Hoping Utsumi gets at least a little angry at this and worried about her mental health. Yuki needs to find a way to heal her scars, not bury it deeper.

The most probable outcome, however, is Utsumi getting angry leading to a temporary hiatus in their relationship (read: breakup).
On a more positive note, I think the picture with both of them on it may have an impact with maybe someone from the photography studio (like that spunky "grab my boobs"- girl) pointing out how secure and loving Yuki looks on it. Yes, we had something similar before, that's why I think this is totally possible seeing how SK likes to recycle certain moments

This chapter is like......wtf mate? Everything is going perfectly when Yuki goes and says what she said. Seriously? Is that what she was moody over for the entire day? I mean, I can understand that she would want to make Utsumi feel good and let him have his way with her at some point, and it might even help her get over her trauma as well, but to do it in the same place Tohru and her did it before? And the way she asked it. If it was me, I'd tell her straight out "what did you take me for?" and then think "man, I should've done it with the photography girl the other night."

In all seriousness, while the relationship is being handled very well and realistically here, Yuki is really starting to annoy me.

When people experience trauma... they tend to want to wind back the hands of time or push a reset button on life.

In this case, Yuki wants to purify herself and start from scratch and in her mind Utsumi will be her purifier since he is perfect for the job.

I have seen cases like this where people try to "reset" life events in such a manner.

People sometimes will never go back to the restaurant they and their ex-lover used to frequent.

Some people wont ever wear the same piece or colour clothing.

While other have to take a million new lovers and dates to the old spots just to get over the first lover that broke their heart.

This is what Yuki is doing... besides... she is clearly and silently watching Utsumi become slowly frustrated. In fact if he was not a virgin he would be WAY more frustrated.

I agree with you totally on that..but in a sense it fits more here since this is more realistic than KNIM. Plus, lack of communication will always be in the top 3 reasons for breakups in history.
