Sometimes there is a slight feeling that Sion's actions get on my nerves, but one cant help but be amused by what he says.

Its great to see friends trying to watch out for each other.

The truth about no.6 won't be revealed until the later episode. If they follow the novel, it would be horrifying

That's encouraging at least.

I don't know about all the novel to anime comparisons, but really I find this anime incredibly engaging and never really feel like it misses a beat.

The conversations and dialogue are fantastic, and I'm really loving the execution.

The only scene I ever felt was a bit abrupt this episode was when Shion got really crazily angry when Nezumi was getting insulted, but that was it really.

Really enjoying this anime so far.

._.
That "payment" was the only thing I truly loved. Rest was iffy and at best predictable. But at least I can watch this unlike so many shows :\

Nezumi is my favorite character of the season. He has such great dialogues, and he is quite simply cool as hell. Kissing prostitutes like a boss. I can't wait to learn more about his past. I'm wondering who the man on the "founding members" (of No.6?) picture was. His father, maybe? And what was up with that giant crater? So many questions, but not a lot of answers so far. I hope that will change so soon.

Well ... Shion really annoyed me in ep 4 for some reason - and I mean annoyed to the point of almost giving up on following the series this season....

I hope that the next ep captures my interest more. :\

Well, if there's one thing the series is not particularly doing a good job on, that would be making Sion a likeable character, especially when compared to his novel counterpart. They removed most of his inner monologues, which are sometimes necessary for explaining some of his actions and fleshing out his character, and made him into a somewhat "dimwitted" character (to use the word of someone on this thread). I didn't feel that way about him at all while reading the novel. Most of all, while I've always enjoyed his banters with Nezumi in the novel, which are always witty, full of back and forth and show Sion in a more equal footing with Nezumi, the anime has made every conversation they had (after the time skip) pretty one-sided, with Sion being put in a much more submissive stance. So I can more or less see how some people would be annoyed by this anime version of Sion. I really hope that would change in future episodes though.

About Sion: yeah, he is kind of annoying in the anime, but I'm hoping he'll improve as he gets to learn more about where he is...

Alright, finally caught up. I was a bit ambivalent towards the series at first since I found Sion's behavior, while somewhat understandable to be rather frustrating. (It seems this guy will follow anybody if you say the right words, lol) But at least Nezumi sorta realizes this and starts to second guess whether he should really be involved. Best part is when he mocks Sion's linguistic skills, and Sion doesn't understand.

And whoa, what's with Sion's rage towards that guy for insulting Nezumi? A bit fanboyish huh? :P But on the other hand, you'd never see him to anything like that before. The strong part about these two characters to me is that they still make a hilarious comedic duo.

Also Dog boy wants to get back at Nezumi for insults against his mother. Ah, that's how many things get started.

Also, hurray for the mice! Stop naming them.

Thank you Fabelyn!

For me this simply feels like a BL series. Just kinda waiting for their first kiss. Even in the official art they hold hands. Nezumi even says Shio is "alluring" when he recieve the markings. Its not that Im bothered with the BLness, its just so "obvious" that there are more between them than a mere friendship. "I´m drawn to you"? Stalking for 4 years? Holding hans? Going all spasmic over insulting Nezumi? Not even Jou Oh Sei had so many BL undertones. I guess a lot of you guys disagree with me on this.

Im no trying to critizise the series, because I absolutly love the show so far and has been so far the best show I´ve seen in years.

What?! Is the Dog Girl a boy? Huh... I didn´t realize.

There's been some discussion about this, but I'm operating under the assumption that Dogkeeper is a girl until I see proof otherwise.

I assumed the Dog Keeper was a girl too but now you all got me wondering

I admit I haven't met a trap in a long time so I wasn't even thinking that.

not necessarily.

In the novel Dog keeper is described as having lumps on his/her chest but doesn't really go into any detail.
