@Konakaga
I was gonna say that you already posted this, but remembered it was in the "songs that get stuck in your head " but I must agree, especially when this song is one of my personal favorites of the 2011 anime opening/endings. The song itself gives this dark feeling to what originally looked like a "cute, loli magical girl show" but that instantly changed in a blink of an eye, with this ending to add to the spice.

this is probably one of the most wonderful themes i've ever heard. so much emotion and passion went into playing it and writing it. it'll definitely be my goal to learn this song over my spring break. heck, 16 years of piano better be put to good use..

@Kona-sama, Hooves-sama
I'm currently listening to that song repeatedly XD and yup it really gives a dark feelings, like a near-apocalyptic type or something like that... but tbh the vocals are really really good as expected from Kalafina ^^

Talking about songs that trigger emotions?... i read the whole thread and the lack of Cowboy Bebop's song is incredible:
Tank... Rush... NYRush... Too Good Too Bad (the freaking COLUMBIA man!!!)... What Planet is this... songs that put you in chase mode OTOH The Real Folk Blues... Cosmos... Space Lion... d*mn Yoko Kanno... you know how to make tears flow... But the mother of all the sad songs in the universe is in another league... Blue is just... i don't know... but now i don't want to listen it anymore because with all these years is even more sad to me, all my memories, everything is there. Continuing with Yoko Kanno's work... Yubiwa from Esclaflowne is in the same league of Blue. Every track from Yoko Kanno is made to be listen and FEEL SOMETHING... is impossible to feel nothing when you listen Kanno-sama's work.

And who can forget this? The song that ties everything together in that story, Yuuko, Yu, Mizuki, Kuze, Nagi....and everyone else..... Only song to date that has made me cry (not tear but actually cry) from pure emotion. Beautiful, Beautiful lyrics.

The opening to Air "Tori no Uta" by Lia is the most powerful moving opening I've ever seen in an opening. The first time I saw the opening I literally had tears running down my face and I've became a number one fan of Lia since then.
