i'd actually expect something like that to turn the scales even more in Shizuku's favor. she didn't try to interfere with them so if they did then there would likely be serious retribution as a result. so i think they'll keep out of each other's way.

Soyogi accepted the situation much more calmly than I could have imagined. I guess she really did believe she should "have guessed this kind of thing might happen."
I don't know whether the statement "I'm not a god" will cause fewer problems than saying "he is a god" would. |

My God, Shizue was kinda annoying. Are her parents broken record players or something? Saying the same thing 3 times, it gets to ya. A bit immature no? Let's just hope Soyogi can calm her ass down so she doesn't blab the big secret to the island.

Regarding the chapter (88) and the 3 maidens, Soyogi analyzing skills are top notch and I'm glad she trusted Nagi words. Now about Shizue, I agree that she annoying, but she has her uses for now and later. Soyogi character itself is difficult to flesh out, to have more chapters like Karin. To define Soyogi character, I would say she is strict, logical, serious, a klutz and she has a devotee (aka Shizue). If Soyogi does not win Nagi heart, theres Shizue to comfort her, which leads to "yuri", likewise for Karin for being outgoing and having the entire village enjoying her company, but most importantly, she has her little sister to care for. Lastly, Shizuku chances to win Nagi love is the highest, because her mom a bitch and she lives alone by herself, who here can spell "Obvious Choice" for the end girl, worst off, she was the first to be introduced. Here we are, going down the path fuse between romance and sympathy. Overall, I find this chapter comical and a of screen time on a secondary character, but the tiny boobies are a good compromise. xD

Ho ho ho... looks like some one took his first step into the pool. I think this development bodes well for all of us who want our "girls" to get development, it kind of throws out the first to lay trope which I'm excited espeically with all the escalation in Karins arc. Anyway I'm excited it was a fun read, and well it's understandable that shizue would react that way

Ah, hilarious chapter. I was wondering if he was going to "slip in" a little by accident... what? Don't look at me like that, it could happen... in a manga...
Seriously though, I do like how Soyogi reacted. You can really see how much her character has developed. Now the question is how much will Shizue learn about our hero.

Yes. Soyogi does seem to be developing.
Something along the lines of an admission that she and the girls have human qualities. The Dragon God reincarnation has NOT been common knowledge- and this is gonna put the whole event in a pickle. One of the plot holes in this tale is the local's attitudes and beliefs towards the Maidens and the DG. Perhaps this arc will start to fill in the gaps. Shizue's reactions go past what I'd consider respect and devotion. Island culture? 10/28 Released yet? Last edited by crossguy; 2011-10-30 at 07:51. |
