You just can't watch this anime without admiring the clouds and sky. It's just beautifully done. Also, seems like they spent a lot of time in the air.. guess 'cause of the wars.
Great episode with lots of action.

They're artificial, so it's possible they destroyed the moon to help build the colonies I guess.

I find it interesting that Liliana and Luscinia seems to have a past with a good relationship. I guess that Ades and Turan used to be in better term when the former Empress was around.

Also, I have the feeling that Ades Fed was also build by people who left and came back, despite Lusciana's words. I don't see why only Guild people would have been left being on Earth and be all butt-hurt when their charges are coming back to it. Also, the Aerial Log timeline suggest everybody left Earth.

Finally, I wonder if there is a reason for the different shape of the last Exile to come back (the one from Anatoray). Especially with the timing of Lusciana's "conquest".

Nope, this is the cover to the Aerial Log artbook. I've seen all but a few pages of the Aerial Log artbook, so I do not believe the picture Mr. Terrorist asked about is from that book. I thought I had heard that particular picture was from some promotional poster, but I could definitely be wrong.

Now that most fans have now seen ep2, i can now discuss this.

Spoiler for Speculation:

As we know from episode 1 from Liliana's flashback and what she said to Luscinia in episode 2, it seems Luscinia was once a good person when he and Liliana were kids but something made him change into the man he is now. I think it had to do something in their past as shown in OP starting 0:30 where we see a young Luscinia and Liliana.

Yeah, good theory, something traumatic's clearly going on with young Luscinia and it ties right into the shot of young Liliana who also starts crying before the fade to her older self.

I always hated the harem crap in the original series. It felt forced and distracting. That's why I like that the whole main cast is female this time around.

Yeah, and that reason can be summed up by saying the guy was nice. It's always the same shit with this stuff, and it clashes with the rest of the setting, which is pretty serious. The only romantic element that was more or less believable was the thing with Lavie, but it didn't get resolved so it was pointless. The rest was more fanservice than anything else.

I'll stick with my guns. I like the all-girls cast from the new series, and I don't really want Claus to appear unless it's at the very end, and mostly to see how Lavie and him are doing.
