Thanks everyone! I'm trying to work more on getting my painting skills on a higher level since I'm thinking about applying it to my school art projects and such. So, as you can see, my PS output is dismal these days...

But as some of you have seen, I'm going to give the October banner contest a shot

I haven't been able to Photoshop at all really lately, but I am still practicing digital painting. This one's for my best friend's birthday.

Well basically it's painting, um, digitally, usually with a tablet, on programs like Photoshop, Paint Tool Sai or Corel Painter. I got a tablet recently so I'm trying it out! Thanks again!

It's a pretty small one, so don't be too jealous

But I have to say, so many new possibilities are opened up for you when you have a tablet! If you can draw, a tablet is such an awesome thing to have so you should definitely go for one Sage!

I'm actually giving it to her in two hours

I had to draw it in advance on the weekend for her birthday which is today!

Thanks Illu-chan! I'm actually totally still a newb in the digipainting area, I have so far to go... I can copy now I guess but that's totally not good enough, IMO, I'm hoping to get better like some of those DeviantArt pros! And yes, I should do a Masha thing soon, I do have a lot of new material from him... maybe a new sig for myself, we'll see

Oh, and this is a WIP of a Gintama painting I'm doing

Seriously your skills are top notch, I guess only true artists can "hand-draw" stuff like yours. Either you're studying art or just extremely part-time dedicated. Well doesnt matter, u gdlk C:

Thank you for the kind words! I am doing grade 12 art at school but honestly, I'm not super skilled or anything, although I've gotten quite good at imitation

I don't have the artistic brain, so I just like drawing for fun

I did another quick Masha sketch

It's pretty sloppy but I just felt like starting it and got tired of it after a while... so by the time I got to the background I got very lazy...

I should really go work on my actual art assignment now... It's a self-portrait of sorts, depicting an "alter-ego" of yourself though. So naturally I'm drawing myself as a samurai

This is a thing I did for tech class, a personal logo for our projects. Mine's not much of a logo really but I just made a vector dragon with my name in its wing... lol.
