and i don't want to believe there won't be a sequel. Ayaka was one of my favorite(with konoka) from the start:to hung to life until 115 years old only to keep her promise and see again her cherished childhood friend... no one else in 3A could have done that. go back in time asuna and(after saving the winp)reward her fidelity! |

Maybe it's because I'm not as invested in the series anymore (The never-ending magical world plot just drove me nuts), but I would have been happy if 352 would have been the end. Well, with a little more fleshing out of course right before, but I don't need Eva or Chao or a deus ex machina. The plan obviously worked, the magical world was saved and it seems everyone lived happy, fulfilling lives. That's about as much of a happy ending as you can get.
Even Negi's death doesn't have to be horrible as much as bittersweet. Well, okay, if he ends up having died from tripping down a flight of stairs or catching superbirdflu, it might, but if he managed to die for a purpose like taking out the Lifemaker in a final strike, that's pretty spiffy too. The series seems to have been edging throguhout towards the idea that important things require sacrifice. It would almost be fitting for Negi to have given his life to grant life to so many. About the only obnoxious sticking point that I really can't see patched so nicely is Nagi. It would be kind of irksome to just have a patch saying 'and he was never found' but if he were, it would require a lot more exposition than there's time for. There's also no reason not to keep the shippers guessing as to who won. If you canon-pick a winner, it's only going to piss off all the other shippers anyway. Might as well make them all a bit irritated but with the sincere hope that their ship really won. |

I got the feeling that Asuna will not go back in time after reading this chapter. All she wants is to be with everyone again for a moment. If they can give Sayo a body, I am not surprised that KA will pull soething out of our expectation. Maybe he will resurrect everyone? However, I do prefer if they focus on what left behind like the people who is still alive and the legacy left behind.
From the chapter, it seems like it is NegiXChisame end. |

i think "PERMANENT HIATUS!" is what she said
anyway reading chapter 352 make me think -I doubted Negi is dead. that tombstone probably some kind hidden time capsule that been buried by someone (probably negi himself) to asuna if something happens. -or maybe it his "sleeping" body that waiting for asuna to return (probably same with everyone but that bit just crack theory) Spoiler for reason:
EDIT: anyway speculation about next series probably focus on Asuna-Chao- Eva (they make nice team. blonde-black-red. magic-technology-physical) try to find Negi and solve world problem CE probably still appear. but maybe not as main antagonist since their objective is practically gone. maybe they will sided with eva or maybe not

I haven't seen writing this godawful and rushed since the fiasco that went on with Psyren. Key distinction though between Negima and Psyren is that Akametsu had the room to give his story a proper conclusion, not this retarded development. Unfortunately, Akametsu is now on my list of quack authors.
