[Manga] How will the Anime team handle ...'s terrifying ability?

I mean this guy can manipulate his bones to the point of them breaking, changing shape and even tearing right through his own flesh! Hell if I remember correctly he even uses his own bones as some type of sword like weapon.

And from what I can gather this should be a most gruesome scene with lots of blood, gore and bone crunching.

I know it’s never going to happen but I would love the Anime team to announce at the start of the episode; “Warning this episode contains scenes of extreme violence and self mutilation”. Yeah that would be cool.

I haven’t read the Manga right from the beginning so I don’t know how they have handled things like this before; I just pray they do a good job of this I really do…

The anime team has a habit of cutting away from/hiding things like that. When Choji punched jirobou, i think his hand might've ruptured the chest...that didn't happen in the anime...

I'd really like to see kishi's vision animated in a way that's true to what he intended, but due to the audience, i seriously doubt they'll follow that route.

At the least, they'll omit fluids, or evencut away and play sounds, then have his opponent think
"OMG! he did that! Waaaah!"

True indeed. I hope shika develops some stuff akin to the shadow ninja in Ninja Scroll (that guy was a mix of shika and the Demon Brother's IMHO)......

I have similar concerns about the Neji fight. If they couldn't show Naruto with a kunai through his hand, have can they ever make Neji's fight justice? Sometimes I wish they could make a special manga cut available on dvd, that didn't change a single thing from the manga. No censoring and filler... I'd almost pay for the R2 dvd's of such a release.

Yeap, I've been giving this one a good deal of thought.

Basically, what they're gonna do is Pussify Kimimaro. Too bad. Manga gore really really rocked.

and if they are going to censor Neji's fight, then they most certainly censor Kimimaro's because i have never seen anything as gory in the manga, not even when Kakashi killed Haku. Also, if Neji's fight is censored, then i guess Naruto's fight will be ceonsored too (scene where Sasuke shoves his arm though Naruto's chest). If the anime screws this arc up I will be very very angry

The only fights in this arc that aren't exceedingly violent are Chouji/Jiroubou and Shikamaru/Tayuya. What are they going to do with Kiba's seppuku?

How can you tell me that it was clear and it will be the same in the Anime? I wouldn't have made the thread if that was the case! What Manga are you reading?

I know large amounts of blood aren't the case here but still....

It's a given that when you remove your own bones from your body, yeah.. there will be some sort of liquid discharge, as evident in the spoilers above... but kishi will definitely not show any large amounts of blood or anything of the sort, just as was done in the dragonball series when adapted from it's manga. It happens in all great anime's, the manga will have amazing action and great story while the anime will always deteriorate.

There isn't any blood there, really... I suspect the anime team will clean up the "wounds" a little bit and ditch the chunks of flesh, but other than that I don't see how they can censor it.

It's a damn shame they censor the anime... but I guess it's for the kids... hopefully when this arc is all-over... the anime takes a break... and comes back on tv at a later time slot and aimed at older audiences... so we can get to see all the action in the future chapters animated, uncensored and in color!

Anyway, you will agree with me that there isn't much blood. In fact, I don't find it strange that I didn't notice the first time I read it. I was paying attention to the fight's action and not to details (I wanted to know the outcome and read too fast ). Anyway, I guess the anime will do as I said before. There's no need to censor that and it would be too much of a bother to change all the story...

In all honesty it's very much possible without the blood. Just a few bones that pop out of a body doesn't scare anybody.

Bones breaking and ripping through his own flesh is worse than a bit of blood IMO.
