Besides this "Deuterion Beam Energy Supply System" is designed as a fast way to restore mobile suit power in the battlefield... And if it takes any longer time to restore it the mobile suit would be a sitting duck.

SEED seems to be some sort of thing having to do with evolution... So I guess it functions the same as Newtype powers: main characters of Gundam will always get it.

Although Shinn's SEED seems to be the same size as Athrun's and Kira's in the later SEED eps... It still doesn't surpass the size of berserker Kira and Cagalli's yet...

Yzak somehow reminds me of Touya Akira in that suit

BTW, Athrun gets a new purple/red pilot suit and flies off with Saviour... I guess he's promoted from "elite" to "ace" status

From the episode previews, Athrun supposed to be part of FAITH, a faction within (outside?) ZAFT that reports directly to the Chairman (i.e Gilbert). Guess that eliminates the legal problems.

Looks like there wouldn't be any more episodes for next week? New Year celebration?

Yep. The purple suit looks kinda weird on him. Btw, Gilbert mentioned something about Archangel while talking to Athrun in the end. Has it got something to do with his past? Phase 12 is one hell of a episode. Just from the interior, we can see Saviour is a lot different than the other ZGMF series gundam. The accelerator looks a lot sleeker. Shinn rulez man! And that EA new MA....At first, I thought it'll be a powerful foe, but after Shinn goes seed, he just used his beam saber to sliced the MA's cockpit. Btw, the new EA MA have 3 pilots instead of 1. Well, at least their 3 heads lost to Shinn's one head

. Shinn seemed a little aggressive while attacking the EA ships. No doubt, he is powered by his hatred instead. He goes seed when he thought of how his sis died. Seems like his hatred is way deeper than we thought. Shinn really looked as if he is in berserk mode while slicing off the EA ships. I'm pretty sure he won't be able to defeat Kira and Athrun in terms of skills and experience, but trust me, he looked like the first time when Kira goes seed. Remembers how Kira go berserk while trying to protect Archangel from Andrew Bartfeld in GS? Well, the Shinn now looks like the Kira then.

Maybe Shinn is another "failed" product of the Ultimate Coordinator project...

(The Cordinator group seems to be in moble suits when they attack, with how it was saying I thought the enter the house as normal people and attack not with moble suits... Although Kira's back in Freedom so no complaints here!) Shinn really kicked total ass in ep 12, It was finally his turn to kick some ass after such a long time (Lunamaria was in total shock it looked like) I finally can say I don't hate Shinn! (Although if he attacks Kira thats sure to change rather fast >.>) This was really Shinns ep (12 that is) 11 was okay I though it was so funny when the first thing Yzak does when he sees Athrun is start yelling and pushing him, I couldn't stop laughing though that whole scene.

Athrun takes off in Savior, I'm wondering then wtf is he going to be doing? If hes heading to earth to help Minerva why haven't we herd much about him? I hope he doesn't arrive late... I want to see Savior/Freedom/Impulse go kick Orb/EA ass!!

The previews of the upcoming episodes were already discussed in many other threads.

Kira/Freedom will not be intervening to protect Minerva (not too sure abt this), but will be primarily escorting the Archangel (with most of the old crew - Murrue, Waltfeld, Lacus - on it) as it makes a run for it, killing Orb mass production mobile suits and well, rescueing Cagalli from the clutches of that Presley-clone.

I don't think Kira would be as foolish to allow Shinn (despite his coolness in ep12) to screw up his own plans to protect Lacus, Cagalli, et al. He has his own SEED mode (and he has many more angsty events to put him into it - Fllay's death, Duel destroying that shuttle, determination to protect his comrades and loved ones) after all, and doesn't need to change packs to take out his beam saber to cut Impulse's legs off...

And Athrun/Savior seems to be making its way to the site of the battle too. No way is he going to let some angry kid wail on his buddy as well.

I just watched the raws - and it seems Jibril been hitting the bottle. The Atlantic Fed seems to be taking a setback after the news of the nuclear attack failure was released. ZAFT is gearing up dropships for invasion (it looks like they will concentrate on defending Carpentaria first)

Kira's not going to haul Freedom out of mothballs for the first time in two years only to let some hothead beat the crap out of it. It's safe to say that that rumor is going to be false.

What the question should be now is, where do Kira & the Archangel fit into all this. It's said that Athrun meets the Minerva at Carpentaria to say that they are to join FAITH which only answers to the Chairman so obviously the Archangel doesn't fit into that. The possibility of Athrun & Kira fighting each other again can't be ruled out either. Should be interesting to see where things go from here. Oh yeah, the music that plays during Shin's SEED is kick-ass! The music just gets better and better and I can't wait for the 2nd OST to come out.

I wonder if Reverend Malchio still has that Gigafloat Mass Driver around...

Fukuda will be doing us a favor if he utilize that and then launch Archangel/Freedom and the old crew into space... and into the manga (Destiny Astray R!) Deliverance from bad writing and stupid cliches!

Damn my imagination...

Its a plot device that allows the pilot/mech to become a kick ass combat machine.
