Alright, back to Fate/Zero. All I could say was "eh" though. There is just way too much talking in this episode to the point that it feels like padding, and very little meaningful action taking place. The death scene was kind of cool, but Caster still gets to stay for another episode, dragging the conflict out more.

How prophetic. Interesting how Berserker was able to take over the other fighter jet like that. For someone who's supposed to be a mindless engine of destruction, he has some surprisingly sophisticated skills. |

Come to think of it, Saito stole a Japanese fighter jet too (in the final episode). Which just goes to show that Japan is wasting its money on Jets. They should be investing in mages instead! |

I do wonder if his Ability can go as far as to take control of Caster's monster if can manage to get close enough, but I imagine he'd have to go all the way in the core though. Then again it'll be probably be unlikely to happen since everyone's got enough problems as it is and Berserk's got his attention on Gilgamesh for the moment.

I don't know if his NP procurement would work on something living like Caster's monster. He probably has to be able to wield it as a weapon in some capacity, even if it wasn't one in the first place. I'd say Caster's monster is more of a pawn or tool than something that could be used as a weapon.

What the fuck did I just watch? I don't know or care at points, but Gilgamesh doing that random flying craft shit was the most awesome thing I've ever seen in a long time. Even more epic than Yor, the hunter from the future, dropkicking a random mook flying down with a dead bat.
And we have the first causality of this war-- and it couldn't come any sooner due, since Ryuunoske is a psycho of the highest degree. If only he had realized that he could have blood by offing himself, he would have done us a favor. But hey, I guess killing sucks when you're on the wrong end. But the interaction between the two is hilarious and Caster remains a large ham til the very end. We also have Kariya and his silent struggle to try and do something for Sakura... it looks bad for him. Way better OP than before, I hope this is a sign of things to come. 10/10 for the lols. Edit: Whoops, 2nd, but I'm not counting Assassin's demises!

get some macross action this ep! i love how they only do 3d art for berserker. makes it really really pop up as "something that doesn't belong." also, its really funny how Gilgamesh has a flying floating platform... unless i missed something, i'm pretty sure they didn't have those in Sumerian times...
i think next ep will be crazy in the sense they'll test the bond between Saber and Lancer. its pretty easy to figure out what they want to happen, its just a matter of if they'll actually go that far.

Zouken pretty much told him in the beginning that he didn't expect much out of Kariya despite this process because he was actually planing to wait another 60 years to truly start his secret plans, which involves extensive alteration of Sakura's body to both make her more of a Matou mage and so that her offspring would have the necessary parameters for his plan. Obviously Zouken would try to keep these plans a secret from Tokiomi. |

Berserker is able to utilize the F-15 fighter jet so skillfully because
Spoiler for Berserker's abilities.:
What I've hidden under a spoiler does not in any way spoil any events to come for Fate/Zero. In fact, what I've mentioned has already been covered by the anime. However, due to the limitations of the visual medium, some information is lost in the transition. Not to mention what I've discussed will not even be explicitly mentioned in the anime. What I've explained, if one is particularly sensitive to spoilers, is akin to revealing exactly why Saber's sword is invisible, for example. |
