Your Favourite Pokemon?
When ever you are playing Pokemon (no matter what game or generation it might be) is there a certain Pokemon you always have to have in your team or you lost to have and why?
For me it would always be Scizor. I remember when I found out that Scyther was going to get an evolved form in generation 2 i nearly wet myself with teenage excitement. I was always a bug type fan and to me Scizor was the most bad ass looking bug type at the time and his move set was great. I liked that he was sort of rare to have as you needed the metal coat trade to get the scythe to evolve etc but that just made Scizor all the more satisfying to have back in the day. All hail Scizor in my opinion the most bad ass non over the top Pokemon.

I'm old school (like red/blue old school), so outside of the legendaries, my vote goes to Alakazam. Guy hits for a frigging ton of damage back then, and his relative frailty is countered by amazing SPD stat. I think Alakazam if the main reason why they had to split SPC into SPC ATK and SPC DEF, since he had good offense and defense in the original because of it.
In the newer versions, I'm liking Gengar more. Can hit ghost/dark, sleep for the types you can't handle, AND self-destruct with the speed to use it, before being ko'ed when at low life? F yeah! Probably the only mainstay in my team as my lead. Design wise, I'm a sucker for dragon and dragon-like pokemon. Namely Dragonyte, Charizard, and Gyarados in the original 150. I personally don't like most of the newer dragons as they don't look their part, sadly enough. (Hydreigon not withstanding. Guy looks like a badass, as Tiamat-like dragon)

^I'd agree with the Abra line, although being the poor loner that i was I never got to evolve it beyond Kadabra orz. Throw him the 3 elemental punch TMs and along with psychic, made him an absolutely OP sweeper.
During ruby/sapphire tho I used Gardevoir. Not because of aesthetics. Or appearances. Purely because I wanted a change in pace >_>

Just waiting for someone to say Gardevoir for all the wrong reasons...
Anyways. Bulbasaur's evolutionary line (yay Chlorophyll Dream world ability), Treecko's evolutionary line and... I guess Pikachu, after seeing the picture in this thread. |

That said, steel type Pokemon tend to be quite cool. |
