Very rare, but yes. She probably has them from being one of the elite of elite (if there were résumés back then, she would have one of the longest).

Who said they're European boots? A country right next door had plenty of leather boots to go around.

Next episode: Siege of Inabayama Castle and the building of Sunomata Ichiya Castle. This will be glorious in a new way.

True, but I think those are Europeans because they got heels.

I am going to enjoy that episode no doubt about it. It is one of my favorite parts in the Light Novel.

Heeled leather boots were used in Korea for more than 1500 years by this point in history, mainly due to using stirrups.

One thing I would like to add: the kind of leather boots Juubei-chan is wearing were very uncommon in Japan, one of the bigger reasons being the weather (humidity is not hospitable to leather). They were mostly used on the continent by the northern nomads and the Koreans, with the Chinese having a flatter sole.

Yeah, yeah, I know this show would never pull something like that, but I don't even want to imagine it

Anyway, about the episode, another well rounded one for the book, the monkey king scores another loli, and he showed no disgust this time, which I guess it's because Hanbei is more the imouto type. And yes, she's adorable as hell, and ridiculously powerful to boot, always a great combo.

Best moments by far:

Inuchiyo jumping up and down for food. Ridiculously cute

"Did we just capture this place?"
"Indeed we did"

Oh, Goemon, even without all the other awesome girls, you could make this show worth it by yourself.

Another great episode of Oda Nobuna no Yabo. The anime producers gave more screentime to Inuchiyo this time round.

It's interesting Nagamasa is put into the episode to act as the voice of practicality to contrast against Yoshiharu's emotional response. Nagamasa made the logical arguments: leaving Andou to be killed so Hanbei would turn against Yoshitatsu. Yoshiharu acts on his emotions ("not do anything to make a girl sad") and places everyone in danger. It seems downright reckless, but fortunately it sets the stage for Hanbei to save everyone with her onmyouji magic and everything ends well. Hence, even though the sight of Goemon getting shot in the previews look kinda worrying, I'm sure everything will turn out just fine.

I think Yoshiharu probably had someone else in mind when he said he wanted the prettiest girl in Japan. This will probably earn him another Nobuna-kick.
