I didn't know the show will be directed by a man known for more obscure and somber works and he'd end up directing it ? The artwork looks better than the original manga, I found it less K-On!-esque and more refined. I'm sad to see it being a 5-minutes show, though I'm currently enjoying Inferno Cop, Senyuu. and Osaka Okan this season. I really hope this show will fall into my time filler slot after finishing something long, but I have to observe the other details first.

I don't know why a tomboy could actually turn out to be a trap, but well I'll just enjoy the show for what it is. PV was great and I find it more simple yet elegant. April can't come later, could it be ?

Only about two minutes of content once the OP and ED are removed, but the visuals are really pretty, and the show's clearly accentuating those moments of silence. I'll end up enjoying it anyway, just going to give it an episode or two more to establish its setting and characters. Also, crabs.

Aiura - The show with crabs.
Ah. Another short show. Still, it looks way better than Sparrow Hotel (which looked like it was from the past) and seems to be character based rather than fast-paced comedy. From what little impression I got. Could turn out to be one of those short shows that would work better as an OVA so you have time to soak up the setting - a bit like last season's Yama no Susume. I think I need at least another episode to get a feel for it. but it does look nice. Seriously, are they TRYING to get sued by Apple? That OP is full of 'blink and you miss them' Steve Jobs references! |

The summary was not kidding: nothing happened
But the girls and the overall art are cute, so I guess I can spend 2.5minutes (not counting the OP-ED) of my time on this every week. The sensei pushing a cartload of kids gave me a good laugh

The OP is just insane, holy shit. It's so completely unrelated to everything I start to wonder if they're going to do a new one every week.
The actual show was very cute and pleasant. I was expecting a wacky comedy, or at most something along the lines of Yama no Susume, but this is much more laid-back and iyashikei. Reminds me of Sketchbook and show of that style. It's good, we need more of this type of shows. Yeah, I agree that the runtime is really very short when the OP and ED take so much time. But except for ending in a non-standard point for these shows, I thought the pacing was pretty well-handled. Nakamura is not a rookie, he will know how exploit the runtime and make the most out of it. The show gives the feeling that he's enjoying directing it (especially dat OP). |
