When his wife Riya dies from the epidemic. (really this one)When you watch a charcter from his birth and follow him through his many adventures in life you become so attached. In the 1997 movie Leo/Kimba sacrifices himself to save his human friend. It's sad to know that people who watch this movie don't get the real meaning of his death. All life is equal. Not to sound cheezy or anything but it changed my perspective on life.

I considered that for the first time yesterday... it occured to me that it's easy to take the symbolism in the great Trigun death scene for granted, and that there's always a slight possibility that the character in question may not have died there. (I'm aware they didn't in the manga). But... we never actually see a body...

-Hina Ichigo. Somehow that was like seeing a five years all sweet nice (sometimes annoying) child dying while it tries to be strong. That was a real heartbreaker.
-Suigin Tou. When she died in the first part and you realize that she just did not want to be "Junk".
-Kanaria. Again, it's like seeing a child get killed while she tried so hard. When you realise she just wanted to be of use to the others and she desperately tried to save Susei Sekis Roza Mystica but gets killed never the less.
-Susei Seki. So sad. She gives everything to save Kanaria, and not only does she get killed while doing so, but Kanaria gets killed too.

Rurouni Kenshin

Tomes death, as well as Kenshins death. That was so darn sad. So emotional. I liked him so much, spended so much time seeing his story. It somehow felt like walking a long path together with him.
And the ONE thing about his death, is how you are reminded of your own mortality here. Although he was such an incredible Sowrdsman and person, he died non the less.

The end. Everything seems to have gone fine and than what??? You see that darn five minutes where they flash back like explain where everyone got killed. So pointless. Why have the characters go through a 26 episodes series to kill them in the last five minutes of the last episode. And as if that wouldn't be enough, supposedly former friends kill each other. Damn...

Dias. He had the most heroic death of all anime!!! His body was torn all over and yet he still kept standing even in death to save Gau and Elle. And the sad part is it was his friend Scarface that set him up into his last battle because he thought that it was unfit for a man like Dias to die in bed due to illness. Yes, he was ill, badly wounded and he still won against an immortal foe. Such a waste for such a valiant warrior.

The Seisouhen ova I didn't quite like. I wonder why it is mentioned so many times.
I think it's very sad that he died ofcourse, but I didn't think it was showed so touching .... Maybe I have to see it again...

DBZ: even though many people say it is a crappy series, it still gave me a lot of fun watching it, and the whole situation of Vegeta's inferiority complex, mixed up with his death now and then is pretty sad too, and the time when he hugs Trunks for the first time. Also when Goku says goodbye to Gohan after he sacrifices himself for the world.

It wasn't mention yet if I'm right, probably because nearly no one liked Alissa Sears.. but honestly, her death scene, with the snow falling and Miyu carefully and gently carrying Alissa in her arms down into that freezing lake, attended by that heart-touching "It's only a fairy tale" is sooo sad and touching. :/ *sniffles*

And yes, I know she's alive again in the final episode, but we all know that episode was crap anyway...

I just watched it 2 months ago for the X time, and it still is power fall to me, if not, let's say Akemi sad.

I know this is just Anime, but they should have left Akemi to rest in peace. I have a dumb problem with this one.

Ash/Satoshi's death. This is truely the best moment of Pokémon and the first death ever. Ash tried to stop Mewtwo and Mew's fight and was killed in the process, then the all the Pokémon's tears brought him back to life. That was good drama for when I first watched it.

Setsuko's death. Not really her death, but the events leading up to her death, Seita's realization of what she was eating, and the flashbacks of her that fades away into the scenery where they live. That was truely tearjerking.

Haku's death. This is why Naruto when I first watched it was the best anime I've seen. It combined pretty much all genre out there, and the drama was just heartbreaking, even after the "cool" action.

Mahoro's death. That was beautiful, and should've been the end of the anime. But no, the anime had one more episode that made absolutely no sense and almost ruined the series in my eyes.

Mariko's death. Just when she finally found her true father and been shown the true love that she was missing from her childhood, the bomb inside her exploded.

Tomoe's death. Wow this is seriously sad. It just hit be in the face like...it's something real. That in itself is enough.

Akemi's death. This has always been the saddest moment in anime for me and it still is. It made me rethink about what was really is and how much it hurts most not the people who dies but the people that they left behind.
