So we are left with a cliffhanger of not knowing what will happen to Yozora... Ah well it can't be helped as the next volume isn't out yet and the anime staff was able to cover every novel released so far...

Rika's fight against Kodaka was really over-the-top (flying steel balls, WTF? ) but I really liked their verbal confrontation. I was hoping Kodaka would find the solution to his problem on his own, but relying on a friend is fine too. That's what they're here for after all.
This episode cemented Rika as the best girl this season. What a change from S1! She's so much more awesome than the other girls it's ridiculous. Yukimura was also pretty cool in her own right. She's definitely more manly than Kodaka I didn't expect the season to end on a cliffhanger. Quite a ridiculous one at that. Yozora runs away from home and tells everybody not to look for her, which means: please look for me. She's acting like a kid. It's not that kind of stunt that will get me to care about her. Quite the opposite, actually. I couldn't give less of a damn at the moment. How about they replace Yozora with the lovely Pres next season? No? Okay.

Amazing, extremely emotional episode.
It was a great summary and close-up of all events that occurred until now, especially the ones that happened in the 11th episode. What truly gets in my head was the ending, where Yozora was crying and at the end of it, she turned around with a surprised expression on her face. Truly makes me feel that a 3rd Season will be incoming. :D |

LOL That would be awesome, but then we wouldn't have a Neighbor's Club story anymore. However, I'm going to guess that although the Student Council President is very popular, she does not have any true friends either. The people that work with her just thinks highly of her, so she really does not have someone to share her problems and concerns with. Then Kodaka comes in and fills that void.

I'm going to go ahead and assume it wasn't played like that in the novel and there's a reason for this difference. We know the novel is going to continue on so it can play this as a real cliffhanger. The same isn't true for the anime: This is the final episode of a season so it has to end on some kind of a conclusion which is why they needed to make this sort of pseudo-conclusion where you're sort of hinted at the outcome when the problem has only just emerged (In this case we're essentially hinted that whatever the problem is, the club with get through it). And since the overall tone of the series has been pretty light, it naturally follows that it has to end on a similar note. I mean think about it, if they actually played that cliffhanger for all it was worth, then that would've felt like one incredibly bad way to end a season. Of course, it does mean that the drama has been somewhat undermined when they're already giving such an optimistic outlook but the benefits still outweigh the costs imo. The only other option would've been to completely drop that scene altogether and just have the season end on Kodaka about to answer Sena but then they might as well spit on Yozora's face while they're at it. (She's the first girl and the second most essential character to the story so she needs to have some role in the finale or else it just feels like a narrative mess).

wow that was a pretty intense argument there on the roof, kodakas cowardness actually sounded reasonable, which i gotta say i thought impossible after his d*%kless performance last week.
Damn Rika....can you get any more awesome ^^ piss off yukimura, Rika just took top spot in my books ^^ Yozora proved to be just as much of a coward as kodaka this week aswell, what the hell with that running away crap in the last 2mins, how pointless was that!!?? unless it was actually in the novel..then i could understand why they showed that. And one last thing, Yusa needs alot more screentime next season

No one mentioned it but I see Yozora taking a journey to better herself, instead of running away. I've done it before, and many other people have too. She may be going into the mountains for some intense martial arts training and will come back all muscular.
Again, if s3 comes along, please no Manglobe.

Oh well
@ Hinata Voice: Medaka VA? The voiceover wasn't bad, but totally not what I would have expected oO. As said though not like it was a bad suprise. @ Rikka At first I thought : Neko mimi mode, now? WTH?! then: "Gravity?! I am a Mad Scientist! So take that gravity of yours and get lost! *makes Kyooma labcoat pocket pose*" <--- that is what i was waiting for from Rikka >> @ Posessed by Shirou Emiya Spoiler for Picture:
Really the only thing that was missing was the 'Be careful, with those steelballs. people die when they are killed' @Implied Sena end Well we will never know what he actually wanted to say, but @ Yozora Whether she just overheard that he took a liking to Hnata or that Kodaka oficially made friends with Rika... Seriously now running away to go on a journey and sending the sms at the exact point where he wanted to talk with Sena was just mean. But yeah Yozora not being here might actually advance Sena's and Kodaka's relationship a lot morre than her being here. But yeah after we got a chance to get to know Hinata, you can clearly see how much she differs from Yozora, actually enough to say that they are in some aspects mirror images of another. (Remember Yozora gets physically sick when just talking about Hinata) That behavior kinda reminds me of cats who are afraid of their own mirror image. Well next volume will probably be about Yozora coming back, or they really won't go looking for her and she will come back in the epilogue as someone already suggested.

I can only imagine the hate mail that the author would get if, indeed, Yozora and Kodako actually became a couple by the end of the series of LNs. It's the same with Rika. She was, in my opinion, a jerk in this episode. Oh, how many anime girls must we see per season who use blackmail to control the MC? It's very tiring. Plus, was that really the thing a friend would, pelting your "friend" with steel balls? Was that played for laughs? I couldn't tell since I didn't find it funny. |

Also the words "coincidence" and Yozora can't be used in the same sentence, Yozora thinks 2 steps ahead 9 out of ten times. This has been proven more than once, the latest event would be having remembered the all the school rules regarding clubs...

I was quite surprised at the confrontation between Rika and Kodaka near the end. It was kind of ridiculous, yet it reminded me of those punch-and-make-up scenes only true friends would engage in.
Yukimura is way more forthright than Kodaka is which serves to put their personalities in contrast - Kodaka runs away if it's the best solution (he at least can avoid the problem) but regardless of anything Yukimura stays devoted to him. That resolve is exactly what Kodaka lacks but if it comes out of the blue it would be out of character for him. Yozora's way of leaving was quite amusing (to me anyway), because I found it childish (in an adorable way). "Leaving on a journey to find myself" wut The student council president is pretty strong huh, she's carrying three boxes compared to Kodaka's two. Aoi getting all light-headed from the head rub from Kodaka as well was funny. Well, some closure on certain issues, but the main plot is yet to be resolved. Time to wait for the novels to settle this, eh? |

I am really sad for her. hope all the hate will go away. When i'm watching S1, all I think about Yozora's mean attitude is for the comdey sake of this series.. and I was really shock that most of the fans take it seriously.. (GOD, why is there so many dumb people that they forgot that anime is just an anime and not reality.. and the author decide why a certain character is like that?) Let's not forget that Sena was more bad than Yozora.. and it was just toned down for some reason, idkw. (from S1, stepping-on-guy attitude/crybaby to S2, a total crybaby) |

Well, no matter the intention, bullying is still bullying (and that's exactly what Yozora done in in Season 1 and some episodes this season), and people have rights to not like them no matter what media they appear in.
