I think the whole child porn thing is a definite cop out, DAQ was hardly lolicon

and was in my opinion a good show. Thet're just getting rid of it because they're lazy. The upside of this is that they might actually sub Gun X sword

Well, LETS say I understand that To Heart 2 and Koi Koi Seven were inappropriate (not that I have watched them, let's say I take their word for it, which I don't, since I don't know SHS personally to believe anything they say). But to drop DAQ, which was aired in normal TV time some years ago, cause SUDDENLY it's child porn, is beyond my comprehension, a strange coincidence that all those projects are dropped for the same reason. And not even honest, cause apparently, the true reason is that they are deadweight projects, as it was said here. And SHS could have just said so. When asked in their own forum why they're not stopping DCSS, too, the answer was that it's too late now to drop it, since they're on ep 23. Now if that's not a crappy excuse, I don't know what is. Either everything falls under the rule, or there are hypocrites somewhere. I still don't believe DAQ has child porn material. And since I've SEEN DAQ until now, I highly doubt the other series HAD that sort of material, too. Oh well, not that I cared about SHS anyway, only thing I was getting from them was DAQ. They can drop everything now for all I care

Hope someone else will sub DAQ.
Edit: Apparently Soldats haven't given up DAQ, so I guess they'll eventually release it. Oh well... poor To Heart 2

You know, there's nothing wrong with a fansub group saying we don't like this series so we'll be dropping it. There's no reason to make up some stupid excuse when they don't need one in the first place...

Now if they really think these series are child porn...

Yeah, I agree that it isn't so much the dropping of the series but the way they do it on their website. Some of us are disappointed when a show is dropped, no need to rub salt on the wound.

I mean how absurd, to insult and belittle your FANS for watching the shows YOU subtitled.

I think it was more for humour than for insult, though I understand it may come off as rude. Case in point, the highly respectable Triad keeps hurling "pedo" and "bitches" at fans of the shows they sub (http://www.the-triad.org/). What you need to remember is that you can't villify an entire group for the actions of a few people. You think they are some hive mind with exactly the same position and reasons for subbing every series?

Uhm....wow.... could you be any more self-centered? They somehow owe you something? They don't owe you anything! It is your privelege to be able to watch the fansub in a language you understand. If people within the group don't/no longer want to sub a series, it is completely within their rights to drop it. Nobody should be forced to work on a series they don't like .... the project always suffers in the long run.

Go take 4 years of Japanese in college if you expect to watch all anime.

Destroy the group over dropping a few series? Well I'm not gonna argue over the drama of all this, I'll just say good luck to Vincent then in securing more TLs. If they can find people that enjoy those originally dropped series, then thats great. Fansubbing should be about working on series you enjoy doing after all. Putting all of the TL work on Kyou's shoulders seems to be half the troubles in all of this.
