You could have just said Aiko Yuina. But hey, at least Maria, aka, Okada's most annoying creation in a sea of annoying ones didn't show up!

It's funny how PA works doesn't like including Angel Beats (and Canaan) in hardly any of thier promos despite being their 2nd most financially successful series. It's as if they hate the show or something. I can't complain about that!

As of 2010, nobody wants to take credit for Jun Maeda's writing.

Touche.

I heard it was actually Ryushiki that actually wrote the latest Key VN not him

They won't include Angel Beats due to rights issues (Aniplex isn't going to want their show mixed with other Pony Canyon properties). Canaan is also a different production committee, partly owned by Chunsoft and books by Kadokawa, not to mention an entirely different theme/style of show. It's not a conspiracy...

I've told a few of you about this before, but one local cosplayer I've met at a couple cons decided to make a cosplay version of Sawa's causal outfit and then her and her boyfriend decided it didn't really look like "cosplay" so they they could do a photo shoot without waiting for a convention. The result being that she had strangers pulling out their phones to take pictures of her.

How much of Maria is Okada's doing though? Doesn't she show up in Chunsoft's material in the franchise too?

Conspiracies are more dramatic though! Then again that is the nature of the internet.

Multiple writers, though Maeda has been pretty minor and only did a bit of Little Busters. I think he referred to Clannad as that hill he'd never climb over again, and it might have been a self fulfilling prophecy. Then again, Angel Beats was quite the pressure with the lack of time.

Should be a great sight.

Mm, Canaan is an original work, based of the scenario. Though it is an interesting fact to note that most of PA works are original.

You realize those concert scenes were rotoscoped, right?

So what? It's funny - when people thought Watanabe was rotoscoping for Sakamichi no Apollon, they couldn't stop praising the technique. When Aku no Hana does it in their borderline-incompetent ugly way, now it's a crime against nature. Rotoscoping is a perfectly legitimate technique and can be extremely effective when it's properly used.

And this is from someone who's no fan of either K-ON or AB, by the way.

Actually, for that matter, I heard the famous 'God Knows' scene was rotoscope, too.

That was because Kids on the Slope was "the next Cowboy Bebop" so of course nobody was going to say terrible things about it.
Rotoscoping is an interesting technique, but nowhere near as impressive as, you know, real animation.

It's famous precisely for not being that.

The concert featuring artists from true tears, Hanasaku Iroha, and TARI TARI will have its BD/DVD released in December. This was just announced at the Hanasaku Iroha movie talk show.

That sounds awesome to hear. True Tears and Tari Tari had wonderful music that helped define their shows.

That reminds me this is from the Tari Tari live event and I just watch it whenever I'm feeling down and by the end I'm cheerful again.

Tari Tari was such a happiness inducing series, now with Nagi no Asukara I can only expect rage induncing factor.

PAW is trolling me.

So I talked to Nobuhiro Kikuchi at Anime Expo this year; seems he actually conceptualized and basically wrote Tari Tari on his own. It's impressive since Tari Tari hit my top 5 of last year.

Music Producer for Lantis, Shigeru Satou just tweeted that this release will come with a CD as well as a new anime (A dream collaboration!!).

That is impressive. Tari Tari was similarly in my top 5 TV anime of 2012.
