shanta-kun just proved that it's actually easy to capture Yasaka's attention and affection
He just love a weak and more passive girl.... too bad that Nyaruko can't fulfill that role yet (Kurei, Kuuko, and Shanta-kun are closer to be Yasaka's ideal woman) dat ending.... She's back... |

I'm torn between wanting to keep Kuune here for more Mahiro x Kuuko and not wanting her here because of her behaviour... |

In fairness to Ookami-san, they referenced the single best consistent thing about the series. The narration & fourth-wall breaking were brilliant. Considering who they had on the vocal cast for the series, it was a really good choice. This season has had a number of in-case references compared to last season, which does make some sense.

The number of references still come at us viewers like a waterfall. The narration was a shout-out to Arai Satomi's role as the narrator in Ookami-san, as some have mentioned here. Even an Oregairu reference in the preview as well as a High School DxD one in the title.
Pokémon reference by Nyaruko cracked me up because I certainly wasn't expecting that. Well, with Kuune's return, Kuuko once again needs to direct her attention towards Mahiro, which will not sit well with Nyaruko. A Shanta-kun-centric episode, which was fun, and took away some focus from Kuuko and Nyaruko's antics this week. Not that we get a breather anyways, with that fight over a limited-edition series. |

I like how Nyarlko mentioned one of my favorite games 0f all time: Splatterhouse! I remember playing that game to death when I was younger. Never did manage to beat it, though I came close several times...
Other references were easy to catch, like the Pokeball and the DBZ scouter. And now, Kuune is back. This can't end well.

Nyarko W 09 - H and the Stakes of Love/You'll Get Caught Up in Crossfire
You'll get your moment in the spotlight one of these days, ShoPhil vac. I knew the school takeover was inevitably going to be the result of the anime/game industry from space (and the idea of an anti-violence barrier is interesting. Not as hard-hitting as the space censorship board from S1, but still funny). And there were plenty of Rider references this week, which is always a treat. My favorite bit was Nyarko using a Medajalibur while referencing the Den-O trilogy. OOO's a series that gets a lot of love (it has Cakeboss in it, of course it's awesome), and for that I am glad. My yuri dreams were dashed a bit, but I can accept an OT3 with Mahiro and the girls. Not that Nyarko will. Episodes like this are fine examples of what I love so much about this show. |

Lol... Kuuko was cute once again this episode. For a character I wasn't too fond of when she first appeared, she's really grown on me. I like Nyaruko, but she gets way too over the top sometimes. I don't like my girls passive, but Nyaruko goes beyond being assertive to being crazy. Lol.
