I cry all the time with anime - death, failed relationships, lost innocence, forever partings, loneliness, them crying. I can be depressed for hours if the ending doesn't come with closure.

What I don't get, is that I ONLY cry with anime, not with shows staring living people. I don't have as much sympathy with them. This should have gone under the thread 'you know you watch to much anime if ...'

Full moon wo sagashite, multiple times during this one
Spoiler:

Chrno crusade, the ending it was more sad than it was suppose to be because i knew it was coming but i still cried.
Turn A gundam, this was completely unexpected but the last few minutes of hte show were amazing with the epilogue and Tsuki no mayu playing. Just beautiful.
Gonna check out grave of the fireflies tomorrow.

The anime that really had me crying were:
1)Neon Genisis Evangelion(when shinji killed kaworu)
2)D.N.Angel(mainly the episodes with freedert and the ending)
3)Gungrave
4)The Rurouni Kenshin OAV's(especially the last one)
5)Fullmetal Alchemist-the saddest of all!!(all throughout the anime, but the one that really got me is when nina died!!)

Two anime that i remember made me really sad were:
1) AIR (Misuzu, WHY?!?!?!!?!)
2) Samurai X: Reflection (........T_T....im not crying...)

Hmm, kinda depends on the particular context you mean. On the one hand, something like Mai HiME had me a bit teary with everything that happens in the last 3rd of the series, but something like Stellvia had me teary with joy at how awesome it is Particularly:

Spoiler for plot spoiler from Stellvia, don't click if you haven't watched it!:

Of course, really sad stuff gets me going too, like Air. I've never actually cried however, I merely get teary eyed.

Cool The Manga that made you cry like a baby...

Ok, I know there is a treasd of the anime that makes you cry, but what about the Manga that makes you cry? just becuase it's not animated you might think that it has no sence but it's when you get so into the story that that's when the tears flow and you step away from the book becuase you don't want to wet the pages.....

Many animes are difrent from the Mangas, take Sailor Moon, COMPLEATLY DIFERENT! NOT IN A 20% same as the manga, but if you take Ranma, it's compleatly the same reading the manga and watching the anime.

Me for instance I cried reading a lot of mangas:

Peach girl:
Spoiler:

Zettai Kareshi:
Spoiler:

Ayashi no ceres:
Spoiler:

Sailor Moon:
Spoiler:

Maralade boy
Spoiler:

well they are all kinda of spoilers but those parts really made me cry...

The eps that got me sheding tears:

FMAlchemist cap 7 -- you know.... poor Nina really heart-rending.

RKenshin -- Soujiro's past

Elfen Lied -- eps Inner Feelings & No Return

Saikano -- ep titled "Akemi" ( very shocking)

Fruits Basket -- ep 8 Hatori's past

Kiminozo -- Eps 2 and 14

RKenshin Reminiscence (the whole thing)

Full Moon wo Sagashite: eps 42 to the end ... i've never cried so much with just a single serie.

I am constantly amazed to find that the characters in anime are more thoughtful, more expressive, and in general more genuinely human than the people I deal with at work each and every day.

As for weepy anime, my recommendations would be two:

Azumanga Daioh. This series is so sweet and innocent. There are a lot of still, quiet, and reflective moments that will make you cry. Of the characters, it was the somewhat withdrawn and melancholy Sakaki that I had the strongest emotional attachment to.

Mahou Sensei Negima. During the early episodes, it was my fascination with the shy and gentle Nodoka that kept me watching, but it is the final story that cements this series as a true weepy: If Asuna's words don't shake you to your very core (and yet simultaneously reinforce your belief in the goodness of other people) nothing will.

Ah, just writing this message is making me a bit sad, but that's okay, for if you don't allow yourself to be sad when you feel it, how can you truly enjoy happiness?

I cried during the end of Negima, it was the saddest thing i've ever seen... Especially when you get so attatched to a character.

Same with Full Moon wo Sagashite, the last episode made me cry.. Every time I watch it I still get teary. Especially when Mitsuki wakes up and shes crying. Gets me every time.

Full Moon wo Sagashite, like others. I did watch it when I was like 12, so I might have been weaker, but that's besides the point!

Onegai Teacher......a lot

Millenium Actress....**BIGTIME!!**
Fruits Basket..........slight sniffles, little misty-eyed
Cowboy Bebop.......a lot at the end...I still cry sometimes when I hear the closing song...so....very...sad. It's a good kind of sad though.
Inu-Yasha..............a bit here and there...okay...a lot here and there.
Love Hina...............I'm not sure why I cried a little during this one...I was almost to tears in the Christmas special, I think, but that's about it.

call me a big baby, but I'm always very emotional, not to mention a hopeless romantic, and being a relatively new but dedicated otaku...get the right series in front of me when I'm in the right mood, and there go the waterworks

How about you guys?

Sway: when posting please explain why the anime you chose makes you cry.

Air- Though it was short, this anime made me cry the most. Trully a moving and dramatic anime. I'd never thought using box of tissues after watching each episode was a waste. Trully worth it.
Honey & Clover- One of best anime ever. Not only that but extremely dramatic. Pretty much every episode made me cry except the starting few.
Chrno Crusade- Pretty much the middle of the last episode then the events following that.
Eureka Seven- I don't know if I am a really sensitive guy or not but the last stream of episodes (say 40-end) made me cry.

I just love it when animes make you wipe your glasses every five seconds...
