That OP....Nice to hear Kurosaki Maon again

surprisingly other than Valvrave and Coppelion, I'm enjoying this show the most this season.

"I don't like this show because not of it's bad but I like to think it's bad"

Also I have a feeling that the OP can be spoilerish. Though having not read any of the LN/manga I have no idea if it's jojo-level or VC level.

Did you miss the government's magic swat team that was going after the rogue member of the 12 generals? We also haven't gotten into what the limits are, the wafer that was summoned seems to have dryed up quickly so it is unlikely it is that physics brakeing.

Hokuto came off more jealous in the anime when asking about Natsume. I felt she was more trying to get a handle on how ne felt about her in the manga.

jeroz nothing in the intro is a direct spoiler aside from characters that haven't shown up yet and the one hinted spoiler, .
Spoiler for op:

Initially I'm very interested in whether or not Hokuto is also a childhood friend or not, since I can rest easy if both LIs are osananajimi (like also this cour's Nagi no Asakura, of which HanaKana is also one lol).

But upon rewatching the episode, Hokuto telling that she wants Bakatora to be a shaman reminds him of Natsume not once, but twice? And the exchange at the bridge where Bakatora tells Natsume that she is not cute at all, then during the festival where the scriptwriter makes it too obvious that what Hokuto did for the entire festival was for Bakatora to call her cute? On top of that, we don't seem to see Hokuto and Natsume at the same time. With all of this in the span of only one episode, I think they're trying to say something lol...

So maybe, Hokuto = Natsume in magical disguise? Or maybe some sort of projection Natsume uses? Or even maybe it's part of Natsume's unconscious desire to be with Bakatora, and as a result Hokuto is made? Whatever it is, there's gotta be some connection between the two.

Oh wow! Excellent observational skills!

But yes it's all very fishy now since it's really like they're trying to say something about these two.

Wow a good show again!
So many 24 episodes shows this month, like Strike the Blood, White Album plus Valvrave return.
And most male MC are quite good compared to usual typical stupid male surrounded by many girls

Is anyone here watching the show using fansubs instead of Funimation's stream by any chance? I've noticed in Funi's stream the volume can fluctuate wildly inside an episode (so when it suddenly changes from talking to BATTLE NOISES I have to turn my volume way down) and was wondering if that was Funi's stream or if everyone was having this problem.

Ep 2

The pace continues to be good (though faster here) and there some omittances in here and there but nothing major. They extended a bit more Hokuto which was quite nice. Despite the fact she may just been a Shikigami in reality however, she was someone "real" enough to matter for those around her.

And that sudden kiss from the end of Ep 1 wasn't so random now was it? Though it was unexpected that Suzuka plan to sacrifice herself to complete the ritual rather than someone else... then again she and her brother being nothing guinea pig for her parents has made her made fatalistic.

Oh and those still complaining about the CG aren't probably aren't going to change a whole a lot here.

I don't have this issue with any of the streams even with headphones for episode 1, but I tend to keep my volume pretty low for the most part. Haven't watch 2 yet.

I think it depends on what type of spells that are used really. The paper talisman in rituals will probably be CG since drawing thousands of those at once are really not that feasible, though some jujutsu and special shikigami are probably not CG based on what's shown. The spiritual disaster stuff can probably go either way.

By the way, encyclopedia's up on the website (spoilers obviously)
http://www.tokyo-ravens.com/contents...x00170000.html, which goes into detail of a lot of world-building stuff that probably won't be covered in the anime (thank god).
Spoiler for Just the spells and not full translation:

As well as a very, very cool PV3 (also spoilers)

Wait, so I thought she was going to make Harutora into her familiar, not a spirit seer. Or can familiar's be spirit seers? I'm a little confused.

True, though I personally don't mind the way this show has been using it. It's integrated better here than a most shows that airing been using it this season (which is like 80% of them). It also looks like not all the spells and shikigami will be CG if Yukikaze and a "certain" dragon are anything to go by. Well most likely getting a nice mix here.

Thanks for the translations and I do hope some of this stuff makes into show since it's pretty interesting on it's own.

I was debating to post this exactly because of the spoilers for Ep 2 myself. And yeah thanks to that "scene" I'm totally convinced now that Kana-chan can totally pull-off Natsume.

We're making good progress. At this rate, we can put a close on this volume by the next episode and since this is two cours, we'll be seeing 8 volumes, which will really be interesting.

How many volumes are there currently in the series? (assuming your referring to the original LNs)
