Amateratsu uses the eyes as a window to be cast, then it burns it intended target, no projected path, that ball was created, is visible by the Opponent; hence it would have a projected path.

To be fair we never saw itachi actually perform the jutsu, its just assumed it comes from the eyes.

Yondaime would kill Orochimaru quite easily.

So would jiraiya

I replied that Yondaime could kill him quite easily.

you guys like to give your opinions without lookin at the facts. SDo u really think Yondaime wouldave defeated Orochimaru easily? If thats the case then Oro is equal to that rock jounin Yondaime finished off in a flash right? Just look at Oros new jutsus. If he got cut in half by Yondaime would he die? If those snakes managed to get Yondaime would they melt. If Manda swallowed Bunta would Bunta still be alive? No I dont think so.

And Oro's new jutsu? You can bet there's a lot more where they came from.

Orochimaru is just too arrogant, he uses just enough to get the job done because that's all he thinks he needs. He has underestimated every opponent he has faced thus far.

When do you ppl get it... there is no Yondaime > Orochimaru or the other way round. There was never a fight so we'll never know.

You're right, there was never a fight and there will probably never be one but it's just speculation.

The thing is with these moves where he remakes or reattachs it takes chakra to do this. To heal him self and to reform it takes lots and lots of it. Now while he has an extremely massive amount of chakra being as strong as he is it is not unlimited. If someone with superior amount of chakra that can fight him long enough (and not have oro kill them) they can eventually win out. Just need to find someone with more chakra than Oro ... hmm who could that be

And no, the Databook states how it works, no projected path, just burn what it is reflected in his eye, My opinion is that this Jutsu works exactly like Kakashi Jutsu. And I don’t see why Amateratsu has to be the exception in how MS jutsus works so far.

Last it is pointless to continue arguing this because, even if I’m wrong about Amateratsu, I was arguing with Ero-Senn1n and other posters, the FACT that Kyuby Naruto was not doing the Amateratsu.

Looks like Naruto was leading on points before that battle was interrupted by Sakura. Oro seemed to be getting tired and looked worse for the wear. Naruto on the other hand looked like he could keep on going for a while.
