Looks like 魔弾 and not 千剣 is the series that's going to end up late, according to the author's proclamation in some other author's blog. Hopefully it still comes out this December!

At first when Hidan was licensed I was like, "Meh".
Then I read UMD, Haganai, ZnT, HenNeko and IS. "Not bad". Later on IS was taken off. "Sigh". After that, Mahou Sensou and No Game No Life. "Hmm". Not before Shurabara came. "Finally has something that lives up to its name". Actually if you ask me, most of the LNs that I read are from MF J. I actually prefer MF J over Dengeki. Famitsu and Fantasia are not bad themselves. And the part about MF J having loads of ecchi elements is true. Shurabara, Hidan, Soukyuu no Lapis Lazuli, ZnT, HenNeko... More and more

- 夜姫と亡国の六姫士 follows a primarily all-female main cast, much like ガブリエラ戦記 and its predecessors, and it also Spoiler:
- ロムニア帝国興亡記 throws the reader right in the middle of the action, leaving buildup and background to the following volumes which can be totally jarring for new readers unused to the author's style So compared to the other two, Naga is more like Kou Maisaka's 戦記 with MF Bunko J's distinct harem/fanservice approach, hence why it's probably more approachable and more popular to more readers; at least, that's my take on the matter. Well, that and it's Nobunaga! Familiar ground definitely helps.

Is there anything from the current (translated) MFJ lineup would you guys reccomend ?
Can be any kind of harem. Having the MC not a dense wuss and main heroine overly violent loli tsudere are preferable. Use of science is a plus. I'm learning towards Gakusen Toshi Asterisk but I'm afraid to have a Ichika like MC.

Yeah, the MC is pretty likeable.
Since its from MF, it shares the similarity of having lots of strong women over strong men. But the MC proves and demonstrates that he isn't Ichika since he doesn't get wiped on the floor by girls. Though the MC(Ayato) has a dense side, it doesnt irritate you at all. Luckily this post I made more than years ago became true. It surpassed IS plot-wise and character wise(their personality) and certainly is one of the good LN that's currently being published by MF. Its also fun to read battle-wise as well.

Seriously? Nice.
Kenshin's also good(Esp v5 last duel.....I actually cried). Though the Japanese readers are giving negative review by calling the author "anti-Japanese" or something. Sometimes those Japanese readers acts more childish than the English LN readers.

Speaking of MF's preference for girls over men, has anyone checked out the Cray and Fin (クレイとフィンと夢見た手紙) novel? The art and summary comes off as shoujo-esque to me, not to mention the cover actually has only the two titular male characters on it. It does still have plenty of girls though judging by the preview spread and short descriptions of them on the blog.
I haven't checked it out since, ah...it has yet to be available via my usual methods, but from what I know its presentation gives me the impression of it being somewhat episodic and a heavy fantasy-adventure thing, kind of like Kino. But I don't have a clue if there's battles, mysteries, romance (straight or otherwise) or whatnot. |

I havent read it yet.
http://book.akahoshitakuya.com/b/4840154104 Though the reviews in the link above has mostly positive comments for being not MF-ish LN.

I thought of IS beacuse in the illustrations, MC usually shows that "What? Heh? face with his indicative finger on his cheek.
So, what else stands in the "good" part of the current lineup ? Also, I really don't get why MFJ is publishing this: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K3Ij7Slqnks
