Pretty much been lagging with the reviews so I'm giving the quick details for two previous episodes.
Episode 3: The thing only commendable in this episode was the drama portrayed by the E-Pandora suffering under the harsh conditions that they've been experimented on. That, and the fact that Spencer made all the cover-ups on Mark IV being unstable, and delivering to the public media the short-lived, positive results. That was the battle fought between Gina and Satellizer, which the former succeeded to stand her ground on power terms with Satellizer though at the risk of perceived signs of Nova transformation. Episode 4: The fanservice virtually put me off when Charles fought the partially transformed Gina, because it messed with the tone of that event, that would have further repercussions for future episodes. They got it right with Amelia pleading for Gina's life, and the latter attempting to reveal the failure Mark IV became. This is just a foreshadowing of things that will get out of control when this arc reaches it's climax. |

Episode 5:
The drastic change that they altered was that if I recall correctly was that in the manga Elizabeth was able to file the report on the E-Pandora Project to her father successfully. Chevalier and Spencer then were forced to retailiate by framing the Mably family into a scandal due to Elizabeths' actions, and because part of that information was leaked to the public. As it was obviously seen in the anime, Chevalier intercepted the file transmission before it could leave the facilities network, and Elizabeth got punished in the same fashion due to her acts deem traitorous. However, this drastic changes alters the tone on the Chevaliers. In the manga, Spencer and Chevalier retaliated against the Mably releasing the classified information on the E-Pandora failure out of defending their interests, to protect the investment that meant the E-Pandora research, and their image. In the anime, they made it look that Chevalier and the people, like Spencer, controlling them behind-the-scenes practically own the entire world, and not even the most influential families in world affairs like the Mably or the el Bridget cannot oppose them either out in public or recklessly without paying the consequences. |

Despite how uncomfortable watching this episode, i'm kinda glad they kept this story in the anime.
Kudos for making the audience understand why Satellizer is traumatized about Louis. While some might be put off with the abuse Louis was doing to Satellizer, at least it wasn't like the Cross Make Doujins. (Shudders with dread thinking about them)

This arc could have been great, but the execution was pretty bad. As mentioned earlier Satellizer motivations makes no sense. Kazuya's selective amnesia was annoying too. The family's ignorance/inactivity was too convenient. But my biggest problem was Rose... OK I can buy it being loyal to Luis after being raped, but blaming Satellizer for it was on the basis that she was a better rape victim then her and feeling jealous about it was... argh!!! words just fail to describe how idiotic it was... the only explanation is that the mangaka couldn't find something out to conclude the arc, got drunk and plagiarized some lame doujinshi to finish the arc. Also the whole redemption by attempting suicide in the last 5 minutes of the episode was equally lame and corny.

I do completely agree with you on the family's ignorance. I literally rolled my eyes at her father's scene where he says he missed her. The whole scenario was weakly thought out and executed.

Episodes 6 & 7:
More than damage to this arc, virtually the Bali arc got trimmed to almost nothingness. They've fixed everything between Satellizer and Louis is just one go and expect from the audience to feel sorry for what Louise did too much in one episode. Really, such nonsense!! They changed the course of events from the manga in order to allot everything to the Alaska arc for this season. Basically, the El Bridget are going to expose into the public what the Mably's failed at: the E-Pandora project whole fiasco. I'm not going to spoil the whole Bali arc to everyone out there for the simple fact that almost it doesn't exists entirely in the anime. From the manga: 1. The Bali arc happens before the Alaska arc. 2. Satellizer got an invitation letter from Violet to come to the resort hotel at Bali own by the El Bridget, hence, Violet expected her little sister to come. 3. As I recalled, the Bali Hotel Resort in the manga wasn't anything like depicted visually in the anime. And, that's it in order for me to spare spoilers to the rest of the newcomers. Oh, please, let them make it right for the rest of the Alaska arc. |

Another very annoying thing is that when it comes to pornographic nudity (pornographic, as in unrelated to the plot) the anime is very straightforward, but everytime it has to depict a serious situation it chickens out resorting to politically correct tastefulness like NoitaminA, whether it is or not sex-related. Now back on the rape/sexual-abuse, yes they are different, but their consequences outside a court marginally so... and if we want to become extra technical, Luis did not rape neither Satellizer nor Rose, but he sexually and physically abused the former, and physically the later. All these in the anime at least, I can always hope that the manga did a better job.

I don't really mind the shift from lunatic to enlightened, it's kinda part of Louis' weirdness I guess. Still I wish Holly got something in return for being hurt so much both mentally and physically. At least Satella has Kazuya to forget about Louis. Holly has... nothing if you consider Louis a good-for-nothing. lol Well, Holly's screen time is probably screwed anyway. I need to stop liking characters so easily. I'll save those tasty eye-catches of Holly x Satella as a keepsake or something.
