Damn. This is why I can't do Black Friday anymore. The deals are sweet, but the long ass lines and deranged goons are too much.

Individual is smart. People are panicky and dumb. That said, we are still animal with the instinctive need to compete over stupid shit.

I have never shopped during any Black Friday or any other hyped up holidays for shopping by retailers. And I pray to whatever deity is accepting prayers, please don't let me ever shop on those days even if I lose all of my sanity...

I look at these videos and can't help but have these terrible thoughts about what if someone brings a gun and starts shooting? Conditions are ripe for anyone to act out. I cringed when those two officers were trying to put cuffs on that women with their backs turned while one of the spectators surrounding them could very easily try to go for their guns. Cops have one of the worst possible jobs out there.

I also shop online though I still go to stores, but never at this time of year. I would rather pay a few dollars more than getting into a pissing contest with someone for reason that would make sense exactly at that moment in time.

No claims to being rational whatsoever. There is a claim to there being a much smaller possibility of getting involved in potential physical violence with another person trying to purchase the same item, though.

I'm trying to make it a habit to go for the stuff that most people don't want- therefore, I can go to the store hours after the storm ends and things finally calm down, and I still get the stuff I want at a cheaper than usual price

(in this case, it was a 2DS and a few used games from Gamestop... actually took me longer at Gamestop than Walmart, but I got all the games I wanted)
