561. Quite a brutal chapter with a level of violence definitely above the average in Bleach.

I do appreciate how they are accelerating the Bleach style one upmanship by owning two Bankai captains in a single chapter (and destroying the mediocre Rose Bankai a mere couple pages after it's introduced).

You know if he didn't explain his illusions as sound based he wouldn't have had his bankai nullified?

Now I know why Kenpachi is strong. He doesn't explain his weakness to every opponent.

I really hate when Kensei and Rosa are being show as weaklings

I think their bankai are quite epic... use mask and it will be epic

Honestly I never liked Renji ... next chapter would be great for Kubo to give Wrestler some more funny ass power and embarass more shinigamis

The secret to winning in Bleach is not in not telling your enemies your weaknesses, it's in not knowing your weaknesses. Everyone in Bleach has to compulsively blather on about their ability. If you know your weaknesses in Bleach, you will eventually tell someone, or Aizen or Bach will just know.

Even so, rarely is someone so up-front about the mechanics of their ability as Rose was in this chapter. That's a whole other level of stupid... He totally got what was coming to him.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if James eventually pops back up somehow. Annoying recuperative abilities like the one Mask has don't tend to be defeated so easily...

It was a good line, at least. I wouldn't get my hopes up on it being a defining moment, though. Someone will eventually try to pull a CSI Miami riff on it and ruin it.

Unless I'm looking at the last page wrong, and I don't think I am, Wrestler just got the top of his head blasted off. Unless KT pulls something from even further up his ass, I'd say he's pretty dead.

Oh and question for KT, where the hell are the Vizard masks?

You are looking at it wrong. The mask is simply smoking after the attack was fired out of it.

Why the hell he's even asking Renji who is he, when his ear drums are busted? Shouldn't he, like, hear nothing?
Or he suddenly regenerated them offscreen? (since well, quincies have that ability...)

You could be right, it just looks like on the right side of the head is the makings of a star shaped hole with bits of flesh flying off its edge. There's also the translation that I have which has Wrestler saying that Renji deflected the blast and not just blocked it.

I guess we'll get it cleared up next chapter, whoopee.

Getting saved by Renji, the Yamcha of Bleach, is just shameful. If Rose does survive (and I have no doubt he will), he should commit seppuku.

Am I supposed to believe Renji is stronger than two experienced vizard captains now? Because I don't.

I do. They clearly aren't smart enough to use their damned vizard masks, even though it was communicated to all captains and vice captains that hollows are poison to quincy.
