I've never seen an anime besides this that was developed by BONES, so can anyone please enlighten me what does BONES do with their anime endings?

My thoughts on this episode: I am very likely to keep watching this weekly and it could probably replace my avatar image for this season.

They tend to stray from the actual source and make up their own bizarre endings. They tend to not be very good.

In other news, the OVA bundled with volume 10 will animate chapter 25. So maybe the anime might actually go through 1-24 after all...

. We'll see.

Oh I see, but shouldn't the blame be credited to the writer and not to the studio itself? Is it a coincidence that they produce some anime with bizarre endings?

Is the manga complete? If not, then I expect an open ending or like previous posters said anime-only ending (which is often not as good).

the manga is quite far from ending, but chapter 24-25 is a perfect "open ending". Still, wrapping 24chapters up in 12episode when episode 2 is still in chapter 2 is quite impossible, unless they change the story directing by cutting so many details and re-arrange it to be as effective as possible. This has been done in the first two episodes.

and yeah, anime-only ending will be not as good.

Enjoy the anime as its own thing, then go back and read the manga, considering it to be a different story if you have to.

(yes, I know that's easier said than done, but in some cases that's the only way to be able to appreciate both. Or if one is bad and one is good, it may be the only way to appreciate the good one without having it feel tainted by the version that isn't.)

I'll try but it won't be easy since sometimes anime version don't always follow original source.

Yuki is a really fun character, not only because of his attitude towards Yato, but also because they always use him as a fanservice for girls, I mean they keep undressing him in every chance they get in the manga

Which is weird since Yato is the better looking one out of the two of them...

Because he can be seen by people - just under certain circumstances. Hiyori saw Yato before the accident.

If you think she's special, then there's still one of Hiyori's friends who did see but wasn't sure (the other one didn't see at all)

Now that the streams have gone up on Hulu, I had a chance to watch the first 2 episodes. This was one of the new shows I was most interested in and it lived up to my expectations. The balance between humor and seriousness in both the events and the characters' personalities was just right for my tastes. At this point, it's a top tier show in my new shows rankings. Looking forward to next week!

LOL Yuki was so cute as a fluffy ball of light thingy. The dynamic between the characters is gonna be so weird. Girl that randomly falls asleep. Silly god who is happy to get paid 5 cents. Random angsty teenage boy with a tragic past. Weeeird.

Yato is better looking but apparently he often stinks of sweat.

How many regalia has he lost because of that?

One interesting thing though, Yato keeps referring to himself as the God of War...sounds powerful but if he is such a god, I wonder why he's reduced to this "homeless" state?
