While I would agree she probably knows... she also might be insanely dense. Just saying.

Two likely possibilities, aside from Honoka's mother being a witch. Either more magic prevents people from noticing when magic is happening near them, or people in this show are idiots.

I'm leaning strongly towards the latter explanation.

I'm pretty sure that can actually happen if Medusa had her restraints removed and could use her full power. It doesn't seem like de-petrifying yourself is something most witches would be able to do. You would probably need to have a lot of power like Ayaka in order to break out.

She can fly and she can petrify at the same time. That has to be one of the most annoying things ever. Imagine being late to work or school because you and a bunch of other people were randomly petrified by Medusa because she was just bored that day. If you were looking up at the sky at the time you might have spotted a giant looking bird that was actually her. And to top it off, Honoka needs to kiss you in order to de-petrify you. That's deep doo-doo for sure imo.

You would be surprised how often commoners in love disregard evidence something is going on until someone explains it to them.

I think the real question is whether Honoka's mom is just love crazy or is she an stonner that never landed from her last trip >_<

I think of the witches getting ahold of Evermillion is the same as if a wizard made a contract with a similar being such as Iffrit, Sylph, or Undine. They are manifestations of their respective elements - in this case, Evermillion seems to be nearly inexhaustible magical power. She forms attachments to people, not their purposes. Her power will be used regardless of whether they are good or not - she's sealed up this time so who knows how or why she ended up that way and what she was involved in to get her sealed inside Honoka.

But she seems nice enough - she did warn Takamiya about using her power too much. Maybe he's not strong enough to 'contain' her power and/or she just likes being sealed up inside of him.

While it is pointed out that magic does prevents people from noticing when magic is happening near them but Honoka's mother does notice and address the Bear but she was also not present when all the work shop witches were mobilized.
So the options are:
a) a normal who is in the know
b) a tower witch
c) an idiot
or d) a mix of the above

she can still be a workshop witch or a random witch without any affilation. Though it is notable that she too calls Kagari 'Princess', rather than Kagari san. Yet no other character in her household was seen to call Kagari a princess in front of her (or my bad memory just struck again)

Witch without affilation doesn't exist. Witch that use magic according to own need bellong to Tower no metter how nice she is. Tower witches aren't all evil and as long as they doesn't use magic to hurt muggles or damage unreasonably property they can do whatever they want.

There is no "war" between factions simply cause Tower witches aren't faction on it's own in first place.

Everyone calls Kagari "princess." The entire school calls her that, but I doubt all of them are witches.

The same magic that prevents normals from noticing magic may also prevent her from actually being consciously aware of the fact that a stuffed bear shouldn't be moving. A specialized sort of perception filter that makes her see and accept the bear as something perfectly normal.

Yeah. The major point with the Witch clothes is that it doesn't make you invisible; people know you are there, and they will avoid bumping into you. But Muggles are just unable to "care" that someone is wearing a robe and witch's hat. It affects the subconscious.

^That's good news. The mangaka's detailed and beautiful artwork really makes a good-looking anime. Of course, it's thanks to the studio too. Also great for Ayaka/Chihaya's seiyuu; I really like her voice.

Razdent Member Join Date: Oct 2006	Spoiler for Episode 6: Glad to see that Mikage Sensei finally made his appearance. There were a lot of subtle things going on this episode, I really like how they aren't totally in your face with everything. I don't even know what to call that area where Honoka was transported to but that scene, and that air battle scene looked so good. I honestly did not expect them to put that much work into it. The contrast in personalities between Kasumi and Ayaka was one of my favorite things from the manga. I guess in the end a bear can't really beat a dragon. Props to Kasumi for putting in all that work into building that airplane from parts of her home though heh.
