No love for Wenger from Mourinho on Valentine's Day.
"Wenger is a specialist in failure. I'm not,' Mourinho I really, really hope that we beat Chelsea at the Bridge this season. Mourinho needs a humbling experience. |

Well, Mourinho sure has momentum on his side. Who can blame him?
Nevertheless, he's the kind of manager I'd love to have: hated by the opposition on every single day, but loved by his fans at the same time. |

Great win against Liverpool. Showed some great resolve to hold on after Liverpool halved the lead.
I was very surprised to see Sanogo get his starting debut and he held up pretty well. Hope he stays healthy and continue to take the pressure off Giroud.

intresting Read about City looking to the future and not just spending lots of money.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26182706 Something we(chelsea) could take a lesson from. Our stars are ageing and we can't keep throwing money at the problem. Frank Arnesen and Peter Kenyon were suppose to do similar for us.

City is such a strange team. They look like world beaters in the prems but in Europe they seem so clueless. A decent Barca side calmly dismantled them without much fuss.
Kind of agree with Mourinho, Guardiola's Barca at their peak was on a different level altogether. |

two red cards against two english teams....
Regarding the red card against Man City....It probably should be a red card, but should be outside the box?? Regarding the red card against Arsenal...So what was the goalkeeper supposed to do?? The goalkeeper had every intention to get the ball, not the player...and robben was probably not going to get the ball anyway...I really don't understand the rule here...yes, goalkeepr was the last man, but wasn't goalkeeper always the last man to begin with?? So, from now on, every team can just kick the ball to the penalty area, and hopefully have a player to clash with the goalkeeper so the goalie can get kicked out??

What he should do is closing up the space and holding his ground as he would have the advantage of using arms in one-on-one then. There is no need to make a latch ditch tackle in that situation

Szczesny brought down a player in a 1 on 1 situation with the keeper where no other Arsenal field player was in a position to prevent that goal. This is a red card offense, and since it happened inside the box a penalty is also awarded. The only way the keeper could have escaped a red card was if Robben had actually scored, then a caution would have sufficed.

I guess that's right call then...I still feel somewhat the rule is too strict, especially on a goalkeeper, since football is still a contact sport after all. And goalkeeper is almost always facing the striker, so if he misses the ball, there is always a good possibility that he is heading to the striker...
Imo a penalty + yellow card would have sufficed, considering that the keeper did it unintentionally. But rules are rules I guess

The MLS club Chivas USA has been purchased by the league, which plans to sell it to a new ownership group (who will re-brand the team and attempt to find a new soccer-specific stadium for it to play in) by 2015.
The concept of the team was... questionable, at best. Set up by the owner of Mexican megaclub CD Guadalajara less than a decade ago, it was intended to promote the "Chivas" brand north of the US/Mexican border. Instead, it provied unpopular among pre-existing Chivas fans in Los Angeles (who could stick with watching the mother team on Spanish-language television), made it harder to attract fans of rival Mexican clubs (who had no real motivation to support an affiliate of their hated rival), and generally served as a symbol of the kind of direction the league has been trying to avoid in more recent years (where teams overtly acting as knock-offs of other clubs is increasingly frowned upon). Personally, I would have had no problem with them had they been branded as "C.D. Los Angeles", with the Guadalajara-based team logo replaced with one more represenative of the city of LA. That sort of shared legacy worked for Atheltic Bilbao and Atlético Madrid, after all. But now that the connection to CD Guadalajara is broken, it will be interesting to see what a new ownership group has in mind when re-shaping this club's identity - and in trying to compete for local affections with the Galaxy (and the strong pull of Liga MX from across the border).

Ask that to Sir Bobby Charlton who claimed that Mourinho was too classless of a manager because of the eye-poking incident with Tito Vilanova. Yet, Sir Bobby Charlton and a number of Brits among the directors are too xenophobic to give the manager's job to a guy from Continental Europe now when we know it will be inevitable. Starting with Ashley young, Antonio Valencia and Tom Cleverley was a suicidal move when we had Kagawa, Fellaini and Januzaj ready to play. By the time, Moyes woke up and brought Kagawa on, it was already too late. The good news is that the British media are starting to have a go at Moyes although nothing as vitriolic as what Wenger and AVB got. Spoiler for size:
Just sack the cunt already. Call Klopp or Van Gaal if any, but please reject all candidates from dinosaur Britain. |

United still have the advantage of playing on home ground in second leg, so i won't cross them out yet. No offence to the Greek, but their League is still way below the ladder comparing to EPL.
The only thing that could go wrong with United is if Moyes getting too cautions on that match (after all, concede once and they will need to score 4 goals to win on away goal), and getting too defensive set-up hoping for counter-attacks. Then the Greek set up the same. We may ends up having a 0-0 result in OT. Or if the defense slip up earlier, concede one, and the rest of the team feel so down to try to come back

Moyes was a total coward when he put Ashley Young, Tom Cleverley and Antonio Valencia on the pitch. Also, he continued playing Chris Smalling, a natural CB and yet average player, at right-back. How can a single man be so clueless? And seriously, it's a joke to underrate the Greeks that way. We already got burned because the manager was clueless and didn't respect the opposition when he sent his second string players in the side. |

Since Moyes arrived, he snuffed the joy of playing from 2 of the best characters you can ask to be part of a team. If you snuff that joy from those guys, you can already imagine how it is for most of the others. Apparently, RVP called out Moyes implicitly for shit tactics in an interview for the Dutch TV after the match. The more it goes, the more I believe that Moyes' ass-kissing of Wayne Rooney has reached breaking point in the dressing room, especially when it becomes a nuisance for 4-5 players who can offer a lot more at specific positions. If Roy Keane was still around, I would love to see him make a mess out of Moyes' face. |

Seriously, it's so painful to even watch the current United team play. Each time when I hear the line up from there I already feel we're going to lose.
The Glazer's need to remove Moyes ASAP. The longer he stays the more we decline and harder it will be to recover. |
