But Souma doesn't have anybody he loves yet! His dad said a top chef needs to have a girl he wants to cook for, but Souma doesn't have one. Souma's food will have more "heart", but not love. He's not there yet.

Megumi would have been a better match-up for Alice than Souma in my opinion. She's her polar opposite.

Alice look total badass this episode but Soma's is even more! You know what I think Alice and Soma will make a pretty good couple too. I'm hopping author will give us surprises regarding in that matter.

Also, author never really cared to give Erina character development for over 60 chapters already, doubt she'll get any development other than revelations on her feelings.

Edit: If there's ONE weakness this series has, and it's just nitpicking, is that they don't go over the fact that people have different tastes and preference in food, or allergies and whatnot. Everything is either universally good, or universally bad, and that's just not realistic. Just thought I get that off my chest since cooking is one of my hobbies

Wasn't that the entire point of the end of the duel between Hayama and Souma? Some of the judges appreciated what Souma did more and some appreciated Hayama more. They were both really good dishes though.

It wasn't about taste, it was 1 of them being a horny slut and the other thinking just because he used Holy Basil, it was superior.

People! Don't forget! Shokugeki no Soma is a cooking manga! Now talk about cooking! Urgh... actually I don't know all too much about cooking myself...

So... how about visuals? For me Shokugeki no Soma is 2nd place of all manga in terms of art, it really has a powerful look, escpacially when people get into their "fight mode" and the fantasy scenes, be they "foodgasm" or "cook-aura fantasy", it really looks well drawn.

Blame Tosh for his godly drawing skill for creating chick as beautiful as Erina, Ryoko, Alice and that chinese girl. But you know chapter like 62 make me forget sometime that this is a cooking manga...

To be fair. When the artist drew the girls such as Megumi, Alice, Ryoko, Nikumi, white Nao, Hisoko, Curry princesses, and "young" Polar dorm lady-mom so attractive and beautiful, shipping war is bound to happen, especially the male casts in this series are good-looking, badass and competent.
