Random note: I think this was the most lines Ichihime had so far, and I just realized that her seiyuu has such a beautiful voice and delivery. I hope she'll get to speak more in the future...

Random note #2: what with the talk about tea in this episode, I wonder if Matsunaga Hisahide will ever show up in this series. IRL Nobunaga and Hisahide had some interesting episodes involving tea kettles.

Easily the best episode of NtF so far. Nobunaga has somewhat matured and was awesome in this episode. Caesar is great as always and Ichi is good as well. Mitsuhide's anguished face also is always a good thing to see. I wonder if Caesar is going to fill Nagamasa's role completely, or he will stay true to the alliance.

Er... aren't a good chunk of Caesar's forces united because of a desire to take revenge on Nobunaga for supposedly killing Shingen dishonorably? That isn't gonna sit well with them if he enters into an alliance. Then again, his hard on for Ichihime might have gotten in the way with strategic thinking...

Technically he defeated Nobunaga so if Caesar can feed them the story in the appropriate way ("I defeated him, I forced him into an alliance and took his sister hostage") I don't think they'll complain. Kenshin is a different matter, though...

Diplomacy!

This episode actually managed to surprise me.

I liked the scene at the waterfalls. Nobunaga really matured as a character and I like his relationship with Ichi.

The Tea Ceremony was funny, what with Caesar not being able to sit for long.

I liked how when Jeanne was all like "I had a vision" everyone is like "what a twist!" especially Caesar who's confused as hell.

An actual diplomatic resolution to the conflict? Haven't seen this one in a while.

So Ichihime was the fool in this episode? Didn't expect her to actually agree.

Well, things sure are getting interesting.

also, considering japanese history, and also caesar's personality, it should be obvious as to what's going to happen

It's really nice to see Nobu maturing and becoming a better leader. I also like the way the tea party was handled. I really didn't expect Ichime to be the fool in question but she impressed me by accepting Caesar's offer. I do feel bad for Mitsu though he is starting to go through a lot of angst.

I was just admiring Ichihime and the ninja girls and you had to show me this picture.

Confirming Jeanne is at the top(and best girl of the year so far)

Given Aquarions' twist of splitting souls I have to wonder if Arthur and Nobunaga were one and the same.

A Savior King for each world or there can be only one? I'm sure De Vinci knows more than he lets on in this. I suspect he is a reincarnation of Merlin. Bringing the equivalent of the Sword in the Stone The Fool for Nobunaga.

That would be a good proposition since the Savior-King split into light and dark, or maybe law and chaos.

XDDD Spoiler for episode 12: For a while I thought it would go the boring way, with Nobunaga and Caesar ending up dueling, but noooo, that would've been too conventional. I started to suspect something was up when Ichi told Nobu that she would do whatever is necessary for the family, and sure enough, she agreed to marry Caesar! XDDDD The look on Mitsu's face was absolutely priceless. More angst fodder for Mitsu, oh yes. (Caesar's surprise was hilarious, too. I think he didn't really expect anyone to agree, at least not without a fight.) The tea party was great overall, from Caesar not being able to sit in seiza (and the hilarious reactions from Leonardo and Nobunaga), to the unexpected turn of events with the alliance and Ichi. At this point I officially don't know how this is going to play out, except that there will be lots of angsting from Mitsuhide (from the preview it seems like Ichi will break his heart), and eventual awkward, antagonistic sexual tension between Caesar and Ichi, unless Caesar turns out to be an asshole and hurts her - hopefully not, he seems mostly gentlemanly when not in backstabbing mode. Hell, maybe he'll morph into an actual rival for Nobu, and die tragically in Ichi's arms? Perhaps it will turn out that Brutus is more loyal to Arthur than he is to Caesar and he'll perceive this as an act of treason? (that it very well may be) I also wonder what's up with poor Himiko in the preview...
