There are a few problems but on the whole I like them both equally. NT did wonders for Kamijou's character.

Actually I don't make that comparison with One Piece lightly. The way that both Oda and Kamachi develop their stories with the way they set up a Chekhov's Armory in plots that seem useless at first glance as well as their rather flexible system of supernatural powers. The reason I enjoy this series so much is because of how similar to One Piece it is.

I think it's the same as OT, kinda. I did not truly enjoy OT till we reached Invasion arc with Vol 12. Before that, I'd think "yeah, this is good!" NT was the same though, it had the advantage of being so late in, but the Gremlin arc did the trick for me (NT8-10)

Well maybe you can find relief in the fact that Kamijou definitely planned for that train to hit him rather than it being some random thing.

Let me correct it a little, Why would a person like othinus (who is prideful and arrogant) need to hide herself when touma is starting to wake up?
Unless she do something to touma before he regain his consciousness?
