Haha alright, I got suckered in, the direction this remake(?) is taking is just too amusing for any Persona 4 fan to pass up. Brotag being baller as f*** is the change I've always wanted to see, and the anime's going way over-the-top with everything since it doesn't need to strictly adhere to the story anymore. This pseudo NG+ turned out to be more appetizing than a straight-up remake with Marie's cringy poems thrown in.

Wow, they completely tossed the mystery out the window didn't they? Can't say I'm complaining. After watching the previous season and playing both games this is pure fan service :-D

Btw I have to say that I am now very much on the Marie camp. Her Japanese VA sounds perfectly cast. Wonderful mix of sweet, sad and tsundere at the key moments. And the design is great as well, particularly those eyes.

But overall the most important thing is that the king is back with a vengeance and you know the drill: the Kings orders are absolute!

That a level 99 Izanagi with an full 99 stats that has the Maziodyne skill! Holy shit this Izanagi is beyond NG+, even on NG+ plus the easiest difficultly no Izanagi can OHKs enemies like that. Trollolololololololo Swag-agonist is extremely much appreciated.

Killing that much Slipping Hableries, Yu should be level 99 now unless he too is level 99 with an full 99 stats.

That was swag-tastic!

Yu is completely hacking in this series. You can't even get a super Izangi in NG+ at that moment

. Pure awesomeness though. Just unleashing pure death upon an insane amount of shadows.

Will also say I certainly liked the Marie scenes after all that craziness was over. Just someone you can't help but take notice of.

Goddamn, I thought watching this will be a chore with a lot of old scene and some new scene here and there. But to have new game + Yu appear, awesome episode.

I was wondering how they were going to approach this, and honestly, this is really the only way to do it. They're not re-hashing anything, just winking at the fans who already know the story, and having some NG+ Narukami sleepwalk through the standard encounters, while giving off just a hint that he's completely in on the joke that he's already done all this, and is way over-leveled. The original story is just window-dressing for the new content. It's funny and practical at the same time.

It feels like this version of Yu is pressing the fast-forward button until the developers get around to animating the two Arena games' stories for him.

And doing the same for P4:DAN, too.

It's probably the best way to go about this- had they try to do a complete by the numbers adaptation of the story yet again I think more people would be bored of it. This way we get to cut right into the meat and focus on the new materials without being bogged down by the 'mystery' that everyone knows by now after the last Anime.

Sheesh I thought you guys were exaggerating about that tutorial fight. How wrong I was. Good grief Yu is in God Mode indeed. He'll solo this game by himself! Looks like this incarnation will be a fanservice rush of a different color. I'm looking forward to seeing this version of Yu in action throughout the season, he's quite interesting.

for the anime in general, it look like its going through all the new scenes in P4G. So... Marie's social link, the scooter (summber event FTW!!!) the new dungeon... and perhaps even... the JESTER social link????

Looking forward to what it'll reveal next.

This was awesome, wasn't it? Of course, if you didn't watch the previous anime, you will be very confused, but is fine by me.

I'm don't usually care for the voices in anime, but Marie's voice was spectacular and i love it.

At the beginning i was a little annoyed about "proactive" Yu, i liked the original better, but it was very fun and yes, it looks like New Game + Yu. And that Izanagi was to overpowered, come on.

I'm sooo looking forward to the next episode, i can't wait a whole week.
