Ashies? Yes, she's the girl that looks like an older Alas Ramus (but who actually considers herself the younger sister).

Ashies has been in the story since volume 8, and she worked with Maou during volume 10. She was raised by Nord (Emilia's father), whom she refers to as her father. She likes Maou a lot.

You saw Sariel got his ass handed to him by Maou. On the other hand, Gabriel kicked Maou's ass (he hadn't fused with Ashies back then, though).

So Maou can't always use her since their arrangement isn't as permanent as Emi and Ramus'.

I'm a little disappointed that our Maou can't beat every angel.

Alas did give her a boost, which is what allowed them to deal with Gabriel, but Maou was already rather strong on his own. So, him working with Ashies is quite the boost.

Yeah, it isn't permanent, since she fuses with Maou's body (when the innocent Ashies said that - that she and Maou became one - Chiho became really jealous), and they can separate.
However, as I said, she really likes Maou, so she'll likely be helping him in the future.

It's the opposite for me. I'm glad there are opponents he cannot beat. I think it makes things interesting.

The money on the bank account was running empty.

The reason for this was very simple: It had been spent. When asking the question of how the money was spent; first of all on a new mobile phone that wasn’t for herself. Even though she chose a low priced model, the expenses were still considerable despite being a used model , as it wasn’t a new purchase, but a model change.

Then, clothes. A certain amount of clothes for a middle-aged man she had never bought before, and additionally items ranging from underwear to shoes needed to be prepared. While looking for fitting ones, the expenses that were incurred were also quite significant.

Furthermore there were ‘loan repayments’. At first Emi still had confidence in her savings, but the ‘extent of the repayment requirements’ exceeded her imagination. This unexpected development gravely affected her plans.

Last but not least, all of this needed to be paid in one go and thus Emi’s bank deposit was empty.

“Uh, uhm, shouldn’t you plan ahead a little bit more on how to spend your money?”

The middle-aged man timidly asked her.

“So that I’ll be in that guy’s debt for who knows how long? Having to accept the fate of receiving the devil’s debt collection for an indefinite period?”
“Th, that’s not what I mean.”

He said, cautiously choosing his words.

“As of now you don’t have enough funds, you have lost your job and you also have no guarantee on next month’s income. I can take out my savings, so isn’t repaying in installments also a viable option?”
“I, hate debts.”
“Well, I don’t like this either, but …”
“Generally, if you don’t repay those debts they have the tendency to accumulate interests, you know that, right.”
“But”
“Moreover, I’m thinking that it is my responsibility to repay all the things lent to me by everyone. If I don’t do this relying on my own strength I won’t possess the resolution to embark on the next step.”

This was the vast living room of a high class mansion. In its centre was a table decorated with a cute-looking cross. The table was standing between a stern-looking daughter and a troubled-looking father.

The troubled-looking father slowly stood up and opened the curtain hanging in front of the window at the back of the western-styled room.

“Well then, how about this Emilia”

The stern-looking daughter was called Emilia. Meanwhile the troubled looking father – who normally should be the one looking sternly – looked outside the window at the townscape in resignation and said.

“Can you at least consider moving into that apartment; Sasazuka’s Villa Rosa? Not to speak of ‘them’, Bell-san, Sasaki-san and others are also there. Isn’t Sasazuka a place where many of your friends are?”
“…”

The daughter called Emilia quietly sighed so her father couldn’t hear it, stopped scowling a hole into her bank-book and shook her head.

Yep, that's why loan repayments is in quotation marks. And why the extent of those repayments exceeded Emi's imagination. She's far too intelligent to make a dumb mistake like being unable to calculate the amount of a regular loan.

Couldn't she just teach languages privately? That shouldn't stand out to much, and would actually be safer for her, since she wouldn't even be in a payroll.
Considering her ability to learn nearly everything, almost perfectly (if not perfectly) in almost no time, you would think she would have quite some options far better than MgR's.
But well, I suppose this was for comedy's sake.
