I'm really not surprised that the torture chamber wasn't animated considering how brutal it is. Although anime watchers will probably have less of an understanding of how cruel the Empire and Esdeath can be.

Well I think we've got a good idea how bad the Empire is. Less so about Esdeath. I mean she kick someone's head off and send her flunkeys out to murder people, but I suspect it's worse than just that.

Frankly I'd be worried regardless of fitting on that limited criteria of hers. Doesn't like you'd live long either way.

Well, both halves are still there...so you could still call them the 3 Beasts, technically.

The way most stories go, I'm quite confident that the criteria for Esdeath on who she falls in love with will end up being Tatsumi. Now, the question of whether that is love in the sense that you and I know, or sadistic love, where she wants to torture the guy, we'll have to see.

It's whatever people want to put on the list. It's not an official site, so any fan can change it. Apparently, there is Mine fan that really likes her. Other sites I looked at did not have Mine as a main character.

it was rushed
They did three chapters(ch.10,11,12) and 5 pages of of ch. 13.
Some of the transition scenes weren't handle well
But overall decent ep. 7.5/10
They should be able to do ep. 8 pretty well now without rushing its just the rest of ch. 13 and 14
The one thing that's good about this is now they may be able to get to ch. 38 or 43.
I really want them to end at ch. 43 but if they do that they will have to speed up the pacing of some episodes again which could be bad

Then I have no idea. I'm not a manga reader, so I don't know how much Mine contributes to the story later on. For now, in the anime, she is not much more than any of the other secondary characters. If anything, Leone has more of a presence than Mine does so far.

Yeah, right now I'd put Mine in with the rest. Did get some attention with that last fight with Justice-chan, but otherwise just average focus. Though I suppose everyone has poor Liver beat for screen time so far .

And MC status doesn't always protect one from death...though it helps . Just hard to say if it will in this show. Already shown a willingness to start killing characters off.

Though if you survive your character development, there's a good chance you'll last awhile longer... Probably.

As far as main characters go, I'll only acknowledge Tatsumi and Akame as main characters...but Tatsumi is so easy to kill! He has been escaping death quite narrowly since episode 1, can't expect his luck to keep him in one piece forever...Anyway, in the end, everyone is fair game imo.

Episode 7 was pretty nice, had its sentimental impact, a touch of gore, fighting and a few laughs (like Akame eating Lubbock's hand and Bulat hitting Tatsumi in a display of love...love...love). From the looks of it, Leone also just managed to survive by following her instincts - makes you wonder just how strong Esdeath is, to be able to scare her off at a primal level.

I don't think that will be a problem. Even without the scene, anime viewers will see how much of a monster she is soon enough. But the torture scene itself was simply too graphic, and it's not something you can really "tone down" to make it palatable for television.

The bigger problem is that the violence in the manga only escalates from here. If people are worried about how much censorship there is already, it's only going to become more ridiculous from here on out.
