Yes, but- what if you get stuck with a character you don't like? Then you have to to say lines over and over and over and over for every novel, anime,and drama CD.

I'm guessing they could have recorded the lines in high quality first, then had to lower the quality for the DS version. Or they're going to re-record all the lines entirely again... I listened to a portion of Kotohogushi-hen where they used a TIPS from the original Matsuri PS2 port that involved Ouka. And Horie Yui re-recorded her lines with a much different performance.

That seems pretty obvious, same with the sprites/bgs/cgs that are obviously in High quality before getting resized/cropped to shitty ds quality.

There are many cases of Kickstarters for old things, whether it be a new translation (Clannad, World End Economica, Barbarossa) or just reprinting a classic property.

Whenever the publisher is unsure if the audience is really there, crowdfunding makes sense.

Well, I guess that doesn't really matter. Because at least the problem was solved, so I'm content. That set aside, do you think Manga Gamer will release the first arc before the end of this year? I do hope so, but they don't even know what they'll price it at or the release date, unless it'll come out within a short notice. They have been putting off answering those type of questions, although this isn't a foreboding sign. They're probably just a bit confused.
