Well shit this is awkward, 60 hours into the game only to find out now I had the party banter bug all along and never noticed. Heck, I didn't know there was suppose to be fanfare for entering a zone. I honestly can't tell how much I might have missed out by now. It's stupid, now I can't decide if I should press on with the hit-or-miss fixes or wait for an official patch.
But dang, I seem to have terrible luck with the dragon age games; I didn't even notice in DA2 I had the slowdown bug until I hit the act 3. |

Well as I never heard any fanfare either I guess I have it too...
Well I stopped playing DA:I because of the DirectX errors I got and started waiting for some patches a while ago... I also decided to upgrade my PC so maybe it's a good thing I waited.

For the most part, I think people are skipping on characters like Sera and Vivienne because of personal preference and nothing else.

All right, folks. I refused to preorder this game, or buy it at all until I could see some responses to it. So... can you all give me a vote as to whether or not this thing is worth my time? The reviews I'm seeing around the internet seem generally positive, with some caveats (the characters and stories aren't as interesting or deep as they could/should be, balance is screwed up and it's really easy to overlevel yourself and just stomp everything, PC combat interface is... less than good (seriously, Bioware? You've been making PC games for how long? You can't figure out how to make this stuff work?)), but still generally positive.
What do you all say? Dragon Age 2 rather disappointed me. Will I find this game worth spending hundreds of hours and playing at least a half-dozen characters (starting 4 or 5 times that many, of course) through to the finish? That's how I find "worth" in RPGs.

Worth your time if you like rpg's for sure, not the best in story or character wise but solid 8.5/10 on my scale

Are you planning to get the pc version? It's definitely worth the buy in, but wait a while longer until a sales before you get it. The PC version is still facing a number of bugs and the current version hasn't fixed some of the most glaring ones, notably the party banter and shiny meshes bugs. This has effectively halted my playthrough until I see more fixes. Plus, bioware is promising more tweaks to UI and gameplay in the coming updates.

Modders are making steady progress (last week alone saw great advance), so we will hopefully see something soon in the coming months... if not sooner.

Yes, there have been sales on Origin at times. I wouldn't expect this game to go on sale any time soon, though.
I was lucky not to experience any serious bugs on PC, other than the glowing heads. But that can be fixed by turning the mesh quality to High.

Sometimes they do sales, but really the best places to find sales are Steam and other Sites. EA has never really been the best company for that imo. |

And I've changed my mind. I adore Sera, slang-infested alley kid runaway that she is.

Well i've found an annoyance, there is no way to store equipment in this game and for a game that gives equipment likes it candy i think that is a major oversight, normally this shouldn't bother as much as it does but because i have lost sever pieces equipent that you can only one of after a cutscene because my inventory was full i'm a little upset
