Well, that didn't take long for something supernatural to happen. I though it would take another 19 episodes. I wonder what's up with Chrono's Stride. Why did it materialize all of a sudden, and why could only kids see it?
Shion makes a full introduction next episode. Hopefully the fights will become more detailed in later episodes once Shion and Tokoha get fully introduced, or after the trial decks are released later in the month. Quote:

I really like the ED. I want to hear the full version soon. Anyone seen the music video with Izumi Kitta for it. If not, I'll put it here:
Spoiler:
Well, I didn't mean it in a family way. I guess it would have been more correct to say how is he connected to Leon.

Introducing a handicap doesn't sit right with me. This season is certainly emphasizing the popularity of well-known fighters, such as Kamui and Mamoru. That's because of all this new techno stuff added in with points and grades. Even giving Mamoru a handicap, because his grade is so high, but we all know you can get 300 points just by catching a company mascot, which has nothing to do with the game. Really, how will this prove how strong you are?
The fights have been shortened drastically, for these quest. All this new tech, all these new titles and terms, I hardly recognize the show anymore. This isn't the Vanguard I came to know years ago. Edit: This week's episode didn't even have a cardfight, spending it all on this quiz contest. Everything Vanguard related was in the quiz, and there wasn't much. Chrono lampshades this during the scavenger hunt, when he got one card and the rest were other things that didn't have anything to do with the game. We got more background on Shion, and how he learned to not give up no matter how much you fall. That was essential the episode. Well, next episode looks to be interesting. Guess who's back? And my has she grown.
