I'm pretty sure the ending will be debated quite a lot, and it'll be very divisive, from what I saw.

I think I stay the hell away from a Takahiro series from now on.

While it's a sort of deus ex machina, I think it fits the series, and personally speaking I liked it (unlike, say, Mai HIME). "Asspull" is a strong word, considering the series just kept playing with the audience, and I guess people got tricked again.

It was an asspull. The tone of the series doesn't change that.

I disagree. Again, it played with people expectations from episode 1. While not completely fitting the story (it is a deus ex machina after all) it has its place.

Spoiler for Episode 13:

As I said several times, it's never implied that the Taisha were "lying" directly or hiding more nefarious plots, as they (and Shinju as well) are depicted like sort of benevolent entities, even if their methods aren't exactly the best.
What could have been done better was making the viewer realize Sonoko wasn't right in her analysys....Though I believe someone elsewhere pointed out a couple of signs that suggested she may have been wrong.

I'm pretty sure people would have liked another ending, but I don't have many issues with it.

Sonoko said Sange was a feature, no a bug. That means it's not something that was supposed to be fixed. Furthermore, it was supposed to be a sacrifice to the god. But if Shinjuu didn't need the sacrifice, why give it in the first place? On the other hand, if Shinjuu did need the sacrifice, he wouldn't be giving it back.

No matter how you think about it, it's a total asspull.

And let's not even talk about Tougou changing her mind so easily. After all this, really? Yeah, no. I did expect her to change her mind, but it should have taken more than a little punch an a hug.
