This might be like the Turn A Gundam, where it starts slow but picks up in the middle and mind blows everyone in the end.

Outside of some complaints about the characters acting very irrationally sometimes and the general complaints you'd get about animation quality in weekly shows whats not to like about Recon G? Its an interesting take on the typical UC gundam. It has a fun cast with good chemistry behind them, the suit design is really unique, its general message seems to be pretty good and very current with whats happening in japan now days.
It could go either way, but its generally been improving from its weak start. The only way that it could blow up if its production falls apart, and I dont think Sunrise is going to let that happen given that its been pretty successful so far. |

Admittedly, G-Reco was hard to follow at first--scene transitions could be very abrupt, leaving little flow (which would take up some time) that you'd see in other shows, not just Gundam. But even then I was able to figure out what was going on and why people were reacting how they were, and with the trip to Towasanga coming up, I'm finally hooked--I want to know what's going to happen next.

What, a new OP song already? Godammit, Garnidelia's song is so good too but they only given reused footage as the accompaniment of their song. They don't deserve this treatment. I hope OP1 got a full original animation in the Blu-ray, if not, I swear the guys behind this series is freakin' lazy. Tomino's previous Gundams have well-animated OPs. Even "stock-footage extraordinaire"-series like Wing and SEED have original animation for their OPs, that's saying something.
Now, if OP2 still uses stock footage and still use it in the Blu-ray, there's no redeeming these guys. Seriously. Quote:
Anyway, just a piece of advice. When it comes to entertainment, you'd better off watching what you enjoy or interested in (unless you're a critic or get paid for it). Life is too short to endure popular entertainment that you don't enjoy imo.

"Who said they could put this dumb Sony Music song in my robot show so they could piggyback their CD sales? F*** this, they're getting scraps for their opening footage." It just might happen again. |

It’s not how I will miss OP1 when OP2 arrives, but more about Sunrise/Tomino’s willingness to provide decently animated OP. It’s a shame Garnidelia’s song got wasted on reused scenes. I hope OP2 has better luck.

The reality is that there are very few shows worth watching anyway and I've got nearly 700 shows completed on MAL, so I've got a reputation to uphold.

Apparently BD/DVD reservations were grossly exaggerated and its actually doing not that well in sales so far. I have no idea why Stalker had it so wrong.
Also it was my first time in japanese boards reading their comments and boy do they troll this series a lot. Didn't think this series was so divisive |
